How not to remember Dumas:
"Tuesday's the savor of the world.
"Bravo!" d'Artagnan approved. "Tell me more about them, my dear Blunderbuss."
"Monseigneur has deigned to buy a large globe, which I will show you; it occupies the entire top of the great tower, except for the gallery which Monseigneur ordered to be built over it." The sun and moon hang on strings and wires. The whole thing is spinning;
it's a peerless sight! Monseigneur shows me distant lands and seas; we promise never to go there.

In July, my wife and I went to Indonesia (Bali), we are not professionals in entomology, but only at the beginning of the journey. We visited many interesting places (butterfly park, temples, volcano caldera, woodcarver village). A very contrasting place, the locals are friendly, the kids are funny, everything is in school uniform, just like we once had.
We flew there with wires and a drosel, tried to catch sedyuchi in a bungalow on the balcony, the experiment failed, a barbel and a rhinoceros flew in. Of the butterflies, one small thing and then one per hour. The moon was in full swing,it was only later realized (that we were not expected here))))). But I turned off the lights in the entire hotel, since a lot of "grandfather's" adapters were attached to the socket. Honestly, I didn't admit it, but I think this is their first time, they were looking for a power engineer for a long time, and after a couple of hours everything caught fire. In general, it is very easy and inexpensive to move around the island both on the atxi and on various mopeds that can be rented.
I managed to catch diurnal birds a couple of times,in two places (one near the butterfly park). Below I post photos of what was caught, I apologize for the quality of the spread, (we are fond of this for a year and a half) I shoot better with a pistol)))))).
Please help with the identification of species, I really want to make a competent box from this particular island. The last two photos are of the same type.

I apologize for the quality of the spread

The expansion is completely normal cool.gif

15.10.2010 14:49, RippeR

The spread is good - the butterflies are even, it will be necessary to work on accuracy if there is damage to the wings during the spread and during fishing

15.10.2010 16:45, mikee

The spread is good - the butterflies are smooth, it will be necessary to work on the accuracy of tolkyo if there is damage to the wings during the spread and during fishing

Andrey, in Southeast Asia to catch a butterfly without flaws is a difficult task, because they fly there with a whistle and get frayed at the same speed. And the author of the message would like to think about local prohibitions before traveling. Moreover, in this case, the ban is international (ornithopters and trogonopters are included in the CITES lists), so the consequences can be unpleasant. But I'm just saying this, just in case, because you can't stop us anyway smile.gif

Many thanks for defining the views. Mikee, I was waiting for the trick to be revealed))))). The secret always becomes clear, so I repent. In the butterfly park, we tried to persuade us to sell Ornithoptera priamus itself-the Balinese do not agree, we persuade my wife to sell the pupa, but there is no result. Hanging my head, I leave the place, but Irina (my wife) is happy and happy, opens her purse, and there is Ornithoptera priamus))))))). In general, this male clung to her trousers, so she came out (imperceptibly, she wanted to make me feel good))). Here's the story).
I would like to clarify in the photo where you identified 0406-Papilio peranthus two butterflies, are they both the same? They have different green colors.

Wild bees preferred to "get bored" in certain places: in the area of the Heart, Wrists, on shoulder straps!!! and on the Belt... This is a question about acupuncture...

To CosMosk:
On the left, interesting earwigs - Anisolabis sp. If only the male is an adult (they are often wingless and it is not easy to distinguish an imago from a larva of the last age without opening it), then there may be something new.

and my catch is also there in yellow plates. Not bad, - ichneumonid time-pimplin mostly. This is the only way people are caught (and generally noticed).wasps (ampulicids, trypoxylons), weevils (few), some flies. And about 5 ml of what went through the sieve all night I chose-proctotrupoids, mimarids...
