Egypt.Marsa Alam 260km south of Hurghada. The temperature is 26-28 degrees. There are very few insects, mostly flies and ants. One hawk moth (like Hyles livornica is weak in butterflies), many small butterflies (moth-like creatures). All around is a desert, nothing lives in what falls out of the camel (manure), it is visible very dry.But the sea is awesome.

I looked at the photo of my colleague from Egypt with pleasure. For 2 trips there, we managed to collect little. The sea is beautiful. That yes.
We have 22 now. Nice weather. Real winter.

I'm sorry, Andreas, for taking your bread away from you,but the Arabs were pointing at them and shouting that they were sacred birds,so I had to click.

I offer you a short report on fishing in South Africa and Lesotho from February 25 to March 25 this year. In South Africa at this time of autumn...
So: pictured is a small private nature reserve just a short drive from Pietermaritzburg in southeastern South Africa. Lots of daytime butterflies and ticks!

Moving west. Very weak at night. The day is also not so hot for butterflies. Beetles are much better.

Great place-lots of beetles on acacia blossoms, but..... one swing of the net and it remains forever in the terrible thorns of the killer tree (nets).

And here we were taken for one place and taken to the police station. Of course, they apologized later, but the night and day were hopelessly ruined...

And the mushrooms are white! Redheads and russula also grow there. And also fly agarics. And the whole buzz is that the mushrooms were brought once, and the mushroom mosquitoes were forgotten... beauty!

Well, okay, mattresses are mattresses.... can I also post a tattoo?
On mattresses - photos from the middle of the trip with Vernon Krookes. The last two were already filmed in Moscow. Naturally, this is not all. Butterflies, Erect wings, Praying Mantises, and most of the mur. lions were not captured. Darklings and duplicates and a whole lot more.

Photos of beetles will be included in the report of Lesha Yakovlev (both Anthia and Manticora, etc.). He shot more, and I caught more. Unfortunately, one thing always gets in the way of the other...

Something will definitely appear in the speed section! While the stage of disassembly and selection to your collection. I'll offer you almost all the little things. Some of the antiyas, there are a dozen more Calosoma and other things on non-photographed mattresses!

Unfortunately, we managed to collect only 10 days, which can be traced on the mattress liners!!!!! 8,000 km were covered in a month!!! We watched the places! In addition, my colleagues worked for three days at the Transvaal and Natal Museums.
They took it out without any problems. Tattoo and mattresses in your luggage. If properly packed and secured, nothing will be damaged. There was a permit for fishing and export, without it, in South Africa - it is NOT POSSIBLE to catch! Nature remains only in parks and private properties, where it is extremely difficult to negotiate now!

Is it difficult to get permissions?
How does the local population feel about white tourists?

The population treats white tourists with consumerism, but calmly. Permission is obtained for half a year through the museum, only for strictly defined parks, for a specific scientific topic! To be honest, it's ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to get it. Just like in Australia. You can not catch in parks, but there is NO nature! Eaten and plowed for corn and cane, every last inch of it. There are no large mammals at all, they were eaten long ago, only in parks. Parks are protected as strategic objects. There are 40 million people in Johannesburg, and perhaps half of them are starving refugees scattered across the country.
