Guantanamo is curiously not only a butterfly hotspot, but also the birthplace of Leyanis Lopez and, later, of her song 'Como La Mariposa'. Aplocera plagiata (Linnaeus, 1758).
There is nothing to confuse with. Another similar species, Synaphe diffidalis, can't be around your hood. So don't doubt, this is the species variability. You've got neat butterfly shots, nice to identify. :)
