04.02.2014 0:23, Peter Khramov: comment on Adjustment of service comments in the Community

Now you may read the Community feed with all the comments save the service ones (service comments cover info of moving pics, formalization of features and some other moderators' comments plus users' confirmations). This adjustment can be quite handy for those who opt to read the whole community feed and thus may have some useful comments lost amidst the service ones. For switching between the ...

Fixed. Fedor, please comment the species (photo is a feature of a species) on the very species description page, not photo one. Anyway thanks for the hint.

03.02.2014 22:09, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #27226

Hurried. Synev describes the species without ssp., later we should solve this question, so far let's follow Synev :)

03.02.2014 17:17, Peter Khramov: comment on photo #27280

Why it's ok.

02.02.2014 22:24, Vasiliy Feoktistov: comment on photo #22619

While there is this feature, I add here photo of its biotope. Biotope of this species is thinned pine plantings with some rare raspberries which had larvae concentrated in them.

02.02.2014 22:10, Sergei Kotov: comment on photo #16342

Also some weirdo.

02.02.2014 21:31, Sergei Kotov: comment on Cucullia fuschsiana

This page is a duplicate of this here: http://lepidoptera.ru/taxonomy/7125 Reserves subject to immediate removal.

02.02.2014 21:24, Sergei Kotov: comment on Cucullia gozmanyi

On this page a glitch.

02.02.2014 16:30, Sergei Kotov: comment on Catocala kotschubeyi

This page is a duplicate of this here: http://lepidoptera.ru/taxonomy/22421 Reserves must be removed.

02.02.2014 16:00, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #27228

Vasily, I see the ID is correct. Only this species has such outer margin whilst two others have a narrow dark sripe between the white band and the curved outer band. Here it's wide instead :)

02.02.2014 15:59, Sergei Kotov: comment on Catocala coniuncta

What a bug on this page.

02.02.2014 15:30, Svetlana Shchavelina: comment on photo #27224

:) Blur... Aesthetics... Photoshop rules :) ACDSee has some special button, I tried that two years ago, quickly got fed up, also didn't see where to use such thing.

01.02.2014 21:58, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #27205

Yep, this pic added to few forums, I think no chance.

01.02.2014 20:27, Peter Khramov: comment on photo #27107

Vladimir, please refrain from uploading pics with any marks in them.

01.02.2014 20:23, Peter Khramov: comment on Behounekia freyeri

Thanks for the tip, is ready.

01.02.2014 17:42, Igor Ivannikov: comment on photo #27202

The collection year is noted correctly.

01.02.2014 13:15, Vasiliy Feoktistov: comment on photo #27130

So Notodontidae...... Myself I added here three Notodontidae from Moscow region, had no idea........... Shame on me :( Wasted half yesterday to find.....

01.02.2014 10:03, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #26816

Let's leave in Enarmonia formosana, definitely not Celypha lacunana.

31.01.2014 21:23, Peter Khramov: comment on photo #27188

Yeah, cleared that out.

31.01.2014 20:02, Peter Khramov: comment on Apameina

30.01.2014 16:28, Vasiliy Feoktistov: comment on photo #27141

Common species apparently (lots came from there). I believe you'll do :)

30.01.2014 16:20, Lev Bely: comment on Not lazy sloths, algae and moths

Biologists wondered a lot why sloths known for their extraordinary inactivity came off trees... for a toilet procedures. Whilst these mysterious critters are evidently in more safe when staying atop rather then being down on the forest floor, once a week they still leave their secure monastery and descend on the floor. Some even have favourite trees to come again and again with their toilet ...

30.01.2014 15:06, Vasiliy Feoktistov: comment on photo #27135

Vladimir, I wanted to ask you, please don't mark the checkboxes "confidently/tentatively" (don't use anyway that part of the upload form), same with not identified specimens, don't confirm them as there are bugs following. Thanks a lot for your pics, very helpful :)

30.01.2014 14:59, Yuri Semejkin: comment on photo #27136

Right, this is S. caecus indeed. Confirm.

30.01.2014 6:34, Vasiliy Feoktistov: comment on photo #14006

This and #14007 are the same specimen? If so, have to be connected in one group.

29.01.2014 19:40, Vasiliy Feoktistov: comment on photo #27127

Thanks, I though I collected all them out.......... And here is this. Congratulations! Considering current climate changes, we may see the areal spread :)

29.01.2014 15:50, Yuri Semejkin: comment on photo #27108

I noticed yesterday that chronological lapse. First there was a confirmation of the ID, then the very ID. Though that was just mere technical bug.

29.01.2014 8:56, Dmitriy Pozhogin: comment on photo #27055

Quite a demodocus. Also distributed in Mauritius.

28.01.2014 13:22, Vasiliy Feoktistov: comment on photo #6981

The US... Could be tentatively moved to Pyralidae looking at how it posed the antennae.

28.01.2014 2:59, Peter Khramov: comment on Glottulini

Thanks, I've corrected it.

27.01.2014 22:26, Peter Khramov: comment on Eustroma aerosum

I rename this kind of double and removed.

27.01.2014 22:18, Peter Khramov: comment on photo #27036

Why it's still there, the author noted that during upload, so the author is identifier whilst Alexandr did confirm.

27.01.2014 22:16, Vasiliy Feoktistov: comment on photo #27070

Ok, won't prompt anymore. About to add some more now :)

27.01.2014 22:16, Peter Khramov: comment on Phyllodes imperialis

It's just a glitch at startup. Remove excess, thanks for the tip.

27.01.2014 21:05, Eddy Verfaillie: comment on Hadena bicruris

Apparently there is still a discussion about the distribution of bicruris and capsincola. If we follow the Fauna Europaea, then the photos of the species of Serbia should be capsincola and not bicruris.

27.01.2014 20:48, Eddy Verfaillie: comment on Hadena perplexa

The lower picture is not of Hadena perplexa.

27.01.2014 20:43, Vasiliy Feoktistov: comment on photo #27068

Today I added two endemic species from Borneo gladly. The admin got lost somewhere :)

27.01.2014 20:08, Vasiliy Feoktistov: comment on photo #27078

Time to illustrate the species.

27.01.2014 19:03, Eddy Verfaillie: comment on Mesapamea secalis

If there was no dissection of the genitalia, then it is impossible to make a difference between secalis and secalella.

27.01.2014 18:21, Eddy Verfaillie: comment on Aedophron

The thumbnail is one of a Papillonidae.

26.01.2014 12:44, Peter Khramov: comment on photo #27047

Igor, please upload pics with individual specimens in them, males and females separately.

25.01.2014 18:07, Eddy Verfaillie: comment on Acontia

Put a thumbnail by the Acontia subgenus because "lucida" is represented.

25.01.2014 18:01, Eddy Verfaillie: comment on Chloephorini

Put a thumbnail by the Bena genus because "bicolorana" is represented.

25.01.2014 17:09, Vasiliy Feoktistov: comment on photo #13409

I simply seem to be a deep patriot :)

25.01.2014 14:54, Roger Dolorosa: comment on photo #27040

thanks

25.01.2014 13:59, Vasiliy Feoktistov: comment on photo #24252

The white band is somewhat narrow... Wait a bit, doubtful.

24.01.2014 20:58, Peter Khramov: comment on Calpinae

What do you mean, Eddy? I don't quite understand you.

24.01.2014 20:57, Eddy Verfaillie: comment on Notodontidae

A thumbnail could be placed by the Hemiceratinae subfamily to indicate that there are species shown.
