Mimopydna pallida (Butler, 1877) is an only species of this genus in Russian Far East. Synev describes it as Besaia pallida (Butler, 1877) and doesn't mention in Nizhnee Priamurye. Not confusing though as there's first proved found of Mimopydna pallida in the continent part of Russian Far East (Bychikha village, Khabarovsk region) which was described in the publication of V. V. Dubatolov and ...

Another toughie) Met this just once on the web, here http://tupian.baike.com/a0_11_48_20300001248577132825484590422_jpg.html?prd=so_tupian called Botyodes diniasalis . However I know both Botyodes in Primorye. According to Synev they're out in Nizhnee Priamurye still it's not about location but they just look different... Rather that website goes wrong. Can anyone say genus at least?)

I thought the very same at first, pallens, but that spot confused me. Now when you elucidated about "floating" features I vote too for pallens)

Alexandr, thanks. I neither thought about impura looking at the rest let alone the dot, that's why I prudently questioned this, just to clear this up for future cases)

21.02.2014 13:43, Irina Nikulina: comment on photo #27737

Also Mythimna pudorina ?

21.02.2014 13:41, Irina Nikulina: comment on photo #27736

Most likely Mythimna pudorina (Denis & Schiffermuller, 1775)

The third dot though not clear in its forewing is doubtful...(http://www.lepiforum.de/2_forum.pl?md=read;id=13959) I'd like to clear up the question, am I doubting wrongly or this is still impura? Please say something.

Isn't here a mistake? I think this is impura

Lemyra jankowskii (Oberthür, [1881]) Synev lacks this genus though mentioned in many books as a species distributed in Russia, especially in Primorye and Khabarovsk region.

There are lots of them to compare. The patter is the same, but big difference can be due to difference light, shot angles and just overall lightning. Last summer I shot the same specimen in different light, 4 times.... Looked like 4 different species) Can be distinguished by pattern only)

1. Use Triaena, because It provides links to Yap. sites where race Triaena. The brackets and pointed valid name. 2. We focus on Sinev, and Sinev (resp. Here) intermedia - a separate species. 3. I thought it closer to the intermedia, cuspis gave the second var-t. Perhaps mistaken both.

Most probably this is Cleora cinctaria (Denis & Schiffermuller, 1775). There's another species insolita in Far East (in this region), yet doesn't fit (http://www.jpmoth.org/Geometridae/Ennominae/Cleora_insolita.html), nor leucophaea (Primorye).
