can anyone tell me from what family the parasites of scabies are.
In this case, the parasite was found in the body of a female Diaspis boisduvalii Sign palm scab.

Most likely Encyrtus aurantii (Geoffroy, 1785) [= lecaniorum Mayr, 1876]

Yes, I forgot about the family-Encyrtidae, of course

Dear experts, My colleague, Professor V. L. Kazenas, asked me to post photos of bees for identification. We will be grateful for any definition, even up to the genus. The photos are compiled in the " doc " file that I attach.
Thanks!

In 36, 37, the abdomen is short and rounded at the end, the same as in 35 in shape. Not like the rest of Hirt's. Another 35, 36, and 37 were caught in one place, the rest in another. Can they just pull in their bellies?

Hello! 27/07/14, Engels, Saratov region, 40 parasites (approximately 0.4 mm) hatched from the host's eggs (riders?). Eggs of the host are long brown, in a clutch of about 200 pcs. The males are wingless, appearing first, followed by females with wings. They mate immediately. I am writing a research paper for the contest of research papers "Intelligence of the Future". There are good videos, but not very good photos. All photos are under a microscope. Sorry for the quality.

They can easily. Try soaking and pulling back smile.gif
To determine scolias, it is important not how much the abdomen is retracted, but the color of the wings, the pattern on the body, and the sculpture of the intermediate segment (the presence of smooth areas that all our species of the genus have, except S. hirta).

The choice, in general, is small - those in the picture, and even then, not all of them.

Of course, there is an idea, and 100% of it. This is an error in the label.
In Azerbaijan, this species is not found in principle. It belongs to the subgenus Polistes (Gyrostoma), distributed mainly in the tropics of southeast Asia and Australia. Only Polistes (Gyrostoma) wattii Cameron, 1900 from Tajikistan and Turkmenistan is known reliably (!) on the territory of the former USSR. The indications of this subgenus in the Russian Far East are erroneous.
Well, what you have is most similar to the Australian Polistes (Gyrostoma) schach (Fabricius, 1781). But without a guarantee, since there are other similar large "beauties".

To the right of it is also Polistes (probably from the same subgenus), but it is impossible to determine it before the species from such images.

Definitely someone from Rufa's group. Formica polyctena, I think. But for complete confidence, you need to look at the female from above and at the hairs on the abdomen under a good magnification. This photo does not have enough sharpness to look at the hairs.

This species still exists in the south of Kazakhstan. At least the photos of Polistes wattii on my website (in the section of V. L. Kazenas) were taken there.

Hello, this is a trichogram (family Trichogrammatidae) On YouTube, there are videos with egg laying
(the keyword is Trichogramma oviposition). It is difficult to determine the exact genus and species from small photos. Is this task worth it?

Thank you for your detailed response! I watched the video, mine is funnier - there are males and fight for the female, and help the female out of the egg, and mate, and then the females lay eggs). I think while to put Trichogramma sp. For the future: what do you need to determine trichograms more accurately?
Thank you so much!

Hi! The process of determining trichograms is not easy, since they are very small in size. Therefore, they are poured under cover glasses in special fixing liquids such as euparal or Canadian balsam and permanent preparations are made. Arranging all this at home is very difficult and hardly necessary for a short-term interest.
Determinants for the fauna of Russia are very scarce. From the most recent ones, you can use the Far East Insect Detector http://macroid.ru/files.php?getfile=207&rand=1201304493 (Don't forget to download the reader for the djvu format (http://djvureader.org/DjVuReader.2.0.0.27.rar) The only specialist who could be consulted lives in Kiev (Viktor Fursov ufensia@gmail.com)
