Sapwood will be difficult to identify... You need a size and preferably a photo of the abdomen strictly on the side...

I'm leaning towards Scolytus schevyrevi, and I think it's a male, because of the long hairs on the forehead, turned inwards... The beetle is about 3.2-3.5 mm. On the second ring of the abdomen there is a rather large, non-flattened tubercle. That's just by area, in Stark it is not specified for Siberia.... so I'm fighting, I'll try to make a photo of the abdomen later!!...there are at least assumptions, run through povidam....
And more...there is a dark stripe in the middle of the elytra.

Do I think so or not, the edges of the abdominal rings on the sides with a denticle? In any case, here are the pictures for you, see

Katya hello. What do you think, similar or something else needs to be clarified?? In general, this species is rare? I just haven't seen them before.
I can't find the Far East for myself in pdf format. No such links??.I have another scolitus is "not lifting" about 2 mm. I'll throw out his photo later.

I did not find any side teeth, the picture is really similar under the number 7 the hillock is still so blunt with a recess that is small, slightly blunted

Sc. butovitschi can this species live here??..the first definition of another beetle I had, about which I have already talked

05.12.2008 21:26, Дзанат

I don't know about the rarity, but I need to check with specialists. you can send them a parcel for example smile.gifI think you can live.

So it's very hard to tell from the photo.

To akulich-sibiria:
If Asproparthenis, then the choice from those places is hardly large:
A. salebrosicollis (Fahraeus, 1842)
A. securus (Faust, 1890) - I would vote for it smile.gif
A. vexatus (Gyllenhal, 1834)
It does not resemble A. foveicollis (Gebler, 1834).
And the big beetle?
p. S. That's the only thing I don't really like: his legs are very hairy. (Although maybe I haven't looked at botinoderes for a long time...)
ZZ. Y. And your scolitus is generally a beauty! cool.gif

This is C. campestris, isn't it a subspecies - ssp.pontica?
I caught it in Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

From 07-15. 05. 08 I met two specimens of C. campestris during a week-long fishing trip...During those days, I saw 50 pieces of Cicindela soluta a day (I caught only green forms, 10 pieces).

Doesn't have. For you don't have pilosulus.
This is Cycloderes canescens (Rossi).
Just in the Crimea lives.

Question. What about fritillum Panzer, 1794? It is also specified for the Crimea.

09.12.2008 14:49, akulich-sibiria

I can certainly be wrong
1. perhaps Leptura quadrifasciata
3. Exochomus nigromaculatus
4. maybe this is a form of the banal Nagmonia axyridis (morpha conspicua)

There at the bottom of each page there are links to other sites where this view is in the photo.
And links to other sites.

Quite. It also happens to be black.

And why the mirabilis species? The Zinovsky site for the fauna of Russia lists the species hexaspilota.

fritillum is a synonym for canescens. but if it is not considered a synonym (as some people do), then it is a Balkan species. In Crimea - canescens. But also pilosulus, of course.

Help me determine nebria. The place of capture is Putorana Plateau. According to the old definitions, it is defined as a nitidula, but now the view is divided and there is no way to figure it out...
