Heh, I found smile.gifCratomerus aurulentus (signature to Makarov's photo-senicula, and when in a separate tab-aurulenta.. Did they reduce it to synonyms? 0_o)

And this elephant got two different names-Cyphocleonus dealbatus and Cyphocleonus achates. Where is the truth? eek.gif  smile.gif

More similar to dealbatus (=tigrinus). These are two closely related views that differ well if they are placed side by side in the collection smile.gif. If collected in the south, it may be achates, while dealbatus is more likely in the middle zone.
However, compare:

Good evening, I have a question about caprophages.
1. female platypus with a small tenderloin. There are two keels on the head. The parietal is longer than the frontal, curved in the forward direction. Anterior slope of the pronotum with a strong median protrusion and deep lateral pits. Before the anterior corners of the pronotum, the edges are indented and the anterior corners are bent. As it seems to me, this is Ontophagus gibbulus gibbulus....
picture: P7050052_.jpg
picture: P7050056_.jpg
2. male: the platypus is elongated with the top turned up. The suture is only parietal, in the form of a wide angular plate, without narrow and sharp protrusions. Pronotum with a raised and slightly depressed in the middle in front of the slope. There is an assumption that this is O.fracticornis or O. laticornis f. minor

The color scheme is like dealbatus, but the drawing is more like achates. shuffle.gif
Photo taken in Crimea, fixed sands on the seashore, October 12.

And what kind of bronze is this? Dnepropetrovsk region, September, length 22 mm.

Leaf beetle on what tree? That is obviously (poplar, aspen, willow... - they are similar). It looks like a poplar tree... smile.gif

16.01.2009 10:03, bials

In my opinion aspen. We don't seem to have any poplars on the edge of the forest...
Why can't an aspen leaf-eater sit on a poplar tree? And vice versa..

16.01.2009 10:21, Alexandr Rusinov

This poplar leaf beetle, aspen and willow are more progressive, in addition to this, the photo seems to show a darkening at the suture corner of the top of the elytra, although it is too bad, the angle is not the same. And they can eat poplar, aspen and willow, they are not particularly picky here...

Yes, I forgot to write, barbel-Stictoleptura rubra, male.

Male barbel Aredolpona rubra (Linnaeus, 1758). (It seems that according to Danilevsky's list, it belongs to this genus, and not to Stictoleptura).

Leaf beetle-Chrysomela populi Linnaeus, 1758.

Yes, I just tried it...just as I understand it is not the characteristic shape of the parietal keel in the male, besides I do not know whether the front corners of the pronotum are strongly indented or not, as I understand it, these species also have hybrids with each other...

102549 - P. hungarica

Something I look at this bronzer, and it seems to me that it is still not P. hungarica frown.gifToo dark, and the elytra are more prominent.
Calathus sp - can it be Calathus cinchus (=erythroderus)?
Yellow elephant (May, rocky steppe) Larinus sp. Or maybe someone will say before the view?
Dorcadion (April) would also be up to date... mol.gif
