1 - so here is your already defined photo:
http://www.zin.ru/Animalia/Coleoptera/rus/denrubgu.htm
2 -Anthonomus rubi (Herbst, 1795)
3 - family Byrrhidae

Thank you. My database crashed in 2006 and I lost the information part. The pictures were saved, I partially restored the data, there are 20 pictures left, so I'm trying to restore the signatures (some of them again). And I've already forgotten about this picture. Guilty redface.gif

Look at these more - you might be able to identify them. All from the Moscow region

0051-Hydrobius fuscipes L.
3892-most likely, it is Byrrhus pilula L.
4048 - from this angle it is difficult to say, but it looks like Aphodius rufipes L.
4562 - if the elytra with a suture groove, then Enochrus sp. , if without it - Helochares obscurus. But rather still Enochrus.

4048-Aphodius rufipes-exactly!
4562 - the only image, I'll sign it as Enochrus sp.
Thank you.

A little more Hydrophilidae. Probably also Enochrus sp.

3354 and 6058 are not Hydrophilidae, but Dytiscidae. Most likely, it is Ilybius sp., but it is also possible that Agabus sp. According to such photos, imho, it is difficult to say even before the genus, not that before the species, they have too many small signs to look at for accurate determination... smile.gif
19556 - this is Hydrobius fuscipes L., it is from the Hydrophilidae.

good evening to all and happy holidays to all!! smile.gif
I would like to go back to one of my beetles and clarify...
picture: P6190007_.jpg
picture: P6190005_.jpg
I was assigned it as Anthribus fasciatus, whether this species is possible as A. nebulosus... I am confused by its lateral edge of the pronotum, which is sharp only in the posterior part. And it seems odd aisles are not elevated. I can't see the reddish spots on the elytra either.
And here's another bug. Is it possible that this is Tetrops praeusta..??
picture: P6190008_.jpg
picture: P6190009_.jpg
thank you in advance.

I kind of immediately called it nebulosus.

Hello. Collected in the Irkutsk region at the source of the Angara river Carabus, which is determined by the Far Eastern determinant as C. canaliculatus canaliculatus. Please tell me if there may be other ribbed Carabus in this area that are not included in the DV determinant.

Dear coleopterists, here http://narod.ru/disk/4920472000/coleo2008.rar.html it lies under hundreds of photos of Crimean beetles from different families. I will be grateful to anyone who looks and determines. There are probably half of the banals, but I'm not good at beetles : - (If someone has a desire to do this, please send the definition to okoem@km.ru The
date of shooting each beetle is contained in the file/photo name.

I hope okoem doesn't take offense at me if I sort out two of his photos without his permission in this topic..It's just that I've never seen a blackling like this before, unless it's a blackling.
Who has any opinions about the wonderful beetles

You can view it here http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtop...=0&#entry726782, or on the site www.carabidae.ru And, if you're not confusing anything, it's the Carabus (Aulonocarabus) canaliculatus canaliculatus Adams, 1812. In general, it is better to attach a photo to the question.

I put a small bug larger, maybe it will be easier to identify. It was found in a shady, damp place in the woods. The beetle itself is about 5 mm.

Thank you all for the definition! Almost everything is defined in one way or another, only 4 beetles are left completely without names:
Staphylin 20080419-102938.jpg
Khrushchev 20080422-164220.jpg (didn't think it would be a problem shuffle.gif)
Staphylin 20080430-125833.jpg
Elephant - 20080527-132651.jpg

And this elephant got two different names-Cyphocleonus dealbatus and Cyphocleonus achates. Where is the truth? eek.gif smile.gif

no names only 4 beetles

20080527-132651 Leucophyes pedestris (Poda, 1761)
Staphylins - I think both are Ocypus (I don't know the species
)I can't say anything about
Cyphocleonus I avoid crushers (and I don't know practically)

Almost everything is defined one way or another

and what was the name of abscess 20080516-114234?

13.01.2009 23:29, Fornax13

I called him Alosimus chalybaeus...
Khrushchev - Holochelus (which is Miltotrogus). In the Crimea, more than one species of them lives (although there may be a banal H. aequinoctialis).
At first I took the first staff for a big Othnius, but then I decided that it was really from some former "Ocypus".
IMHO tsifokleon-achates all the same. It's a long one for dealbatus.
