Yes, it seems that the junction of the pronotum and elytra is somewhat different...

It is very interesting that I ran on the American maple. Is it really eating it?

Yes, I myself was ofigel, caught and gave Boris in a matchbox, then still trotted into the net dry branches of American maple near that place and still got 2 PCs and one somehow darker and one third less (maybe a male?), in the end I spread them out and their antennae partially broke off, and the one that in the photo at Barry's house flew away (after the photo shoot)
Well begol very fast just like an ant

Arthur, are you sure it's Cleonis pigra? Tatiana, if possible, take a better picture of the elephant. Especially the trunk on top smile.gif

Good day to all!

1. picture: C_s.jpg
I wanted to ask — is this a buzzer? And if so, what is it, if this, of course, can be understood from a not very high-quality photo?

But this one is a sunflower barbel, or not?

Let it be Phytoecia icterica. smile.gif
Can I get a bigger one?

This post was edited by barry - 07.06.2009 21: 50

07.06.2009 22:00, DIMac

Thank you. At first I thought it was Oberea sp. The top was all gray
and couldn't be made bigger - crop and resize did the trick smile.gif

07.06.2009 22:12, Алексей Сажнев

in Oberea, most of the pronotum is red, and Phytoecia is suddenly cylindrica)))

07.06.2009 22:19, Fornax13

Yes, rather cylindrica really, icterica poyuzhne still IMHO...

07.06.2009 22:33, Guest

And if one claw stuck out from behind the leaf, what would be the versions?

07.06.2009 22:34, Алексей Сажнев

that is-well, a bug, uh... coleoptera, well coleoptera ))))

07.06.2009 22:36, Fornax13

And if one claw stuck out from behind the leaf, what would be the versions?

Well it depends on which claw wink.gif

07.06.2009 22:40, Guest

There is such a game: for a small part, guess the whole... smile.gif

07.06.2009 22:47, Fornax13

And the definition of photos is often a guess... That's why I usually say:"..... but you should look at the beetle " smile.gif

07.06.2009 23:09, omar

Yes, rather cylindrica really, icterica poyuzhne still IMHO...

Icteria is a mass species even in the Moscow region. In places.
