Hello dear experts! Help me identify the bronze age. Caught in the Baksan Gorge (Elbrus region) in the period from August 20 to September 3, 1978.
Numbers 2 and 5 are signed-Cetonia Aurata,
number 6-Potosia (Netocia) Ungarica,
numbers 9 and 11-Potosia Metallica.
The rest, alas, are not known.

Get in line, get in line! You'll follow me. tongue.gif

Today I will go to the night to shine "in the fields" at my points in the Vladimir region, and where there are both species (both Danosoma collected there as you know) wink.gif
I don't promise, but maybe you'll get lucky again smile.gif

Ungarica still 1 and 3.
Aurats are defined correctly.
The rest are all, in my opinion, metallica (imho)
I hope, if not all there are metallics, then I will be corrected by connoisseurs of bronzes cool.gif

So here is Neocalathus straight to the view of the fuzzy photo? This is even cooler than Badister.

Yes, we are. cool.gif Are you feeling weak? wink.gif
Seriously, of course, you're right in your irony. But, judging by the volume and set of photos of the material displayed by the initiator of the definition, for him at this stage of its formation, it is important, first of all, "the direction of further movement". And it is specified correctly. And then - if he wants to-he'll figure it out. At the same time, if it determines only by "green", then it will only come up with a similar answer. smile.gif

Thank you very much! Alas, the photo is not a very normal device in repair. There are still 10 pieces of bronzes later I will post.

Blaps lethifera yes.gif
Barbel Ropalopus clavipes

Cetonia aurata almost certainly
Gymnopleurus mopsus the keel is yes.gifvisible on the lateral surface of the sternites of the abdomen in the notch of the elytra
of Perotis lugubris yes.gif
Nutcracker I don't know them wink.gif
Zabrus tenebrioides female
Carterus dama ? no, Ditomus calydonius, the horn is flattened from the sides is visible like?
In general, for a more reliable definition, it would be desirable, in addition to artistic photos from all sorts of spectacular angles, to take technical photos from the same instance, at least directly from above, and if possible also the head in front, the bottom of the body and from the side. This, as well as specifying the size, greatly simplifies further determination. You can even not upload artistic photos wink.gif

Is it like Lampyris noctiluca? I decided to ask again as I have never collected males. Yes, these did not glow in the dark at all....
The beetle is 11 mm long. Collected the series at night from 17 to 18. 06.2015. Here: Russia, Vladimir region, Petushinsky district, district, village. Starye Omutischi, the edge of the upper swamp in a pine forest, into the light.

Exactly so, it is. And then, I think, something the back edge of the pronotum is not shagged. I forgot all about it.
For Tarkhankut, this type has not yet been specified.

It is found on the Kerch Peninsula and in general from Moldova to the Volga in this zone, the species is psammophilic xerophytic-steppe, which would not be the case. It's just that it's usually small in number and relatively rare everywhere, so it might not have been registered. In Kalmykia, in glasses in June, 1 specimen/100 catch-day.
Lyrical addition: and this is still a lot, I then took 3exs of this species and all sorts of such things for several for 300 catch-days, and then in the Rostov region. we met with Rostov entomologists, from a local peda, it seems, and I foolishly complained about the scarcity of fees, so they already turned green and reported in a soft form, that's a good thing for fools, and they worked several thousand trap days on Manycha for three years, so A. ammophilus was only one caught. But, I think, they just put the wrong glasses, I spied, only 180 milliliters, who puts such things wink.gif.

He.We have in the second half of June, too, in the mass flies to the light. Although it generally flies very poorly. And it doesn't glow, but it should. I've seen glowing females a couple of times, but not males.

The answer is sad: I didn't collect any of the beetles except for these firefliesweep.gif, I arrived there, lit them, and an hour later-a powerful downpour.... And the scales sovse managed to collect a little. Something like that.... shitty trip: just soaked to the skin and the campaign caught a cold. But I had my hopes...
I don't write reports right now: it's not easy to get to them. I try to post some of my findings here, in the topics.

Beetles on a thistle flower, eating pollen. The size can be determined by the ratio to the stamens. One has an orange belly, the other is dark with an orange element.
