Ilya is Orchestes calceatus (Germar, 1821)? in Legalov, it is synonymous with testaceus (Mueller, 1776), but this species lives on alder, my specimens were bred from mines on a hanging birch. What is the current situation for these types of services?
And what is the current distribution of calceatus?

Hello dear experts! Help me identify the bronze age. Caught in the Baksan Gorge (Elbrus region) in the period from August 20 to September 3, 1978.
Numbers 2 and 5 are signed-Cetonia Aurata,
number 6-Potosia (Netocia) Ungarica,
numbers 9 and 11-Potosia Metallica.
The rest, alas, are not known.

2,5 - Cetonia aurata pallida, 1,3,6-Protaetia ungarica, everything else-Protaetia metallica volhynensis

Dear experts,
I apologize for returning to previously identified beetles, but clarification is needed.
All these beetles were supposedly identified as Plagiodera versicolora, but the photos show differences in the shape of the elytra. One type has indentations on the sides and a bend at the edges, while the other does not.
Is it true that both of them are Plagiodera versicolora or are they different species?

Hello everyone!
Please help me roughly determine the beetle (minimum task) and what kind of plant it is sitting on (maximum tasksmile.gif).

The beetle and plant served me (who was already very far from entomology) as models when testing a DSLR lens for video shooting tasks smile.gif
Therefore, only a crop frame from a low-resolution video is available.

Is it a pollen-eater?
Taken in Rostov-on-Don in mid-June 2015.

I think it's a pollen eater, probably of the genus Podonta.

Thailand, Phuket Island, Karon Beach area, April 25-May 3.
Beetles are frequent, large and beautiful-maybe who knows... Size-34-37 mm. Males are always darker than females. In the last days of April, there were a lot of them at altitudes of about 500 m. And in the first days of May, at night, they were already crawling in large numbers right around the hotel on the coast. I can think of nothing but Leucopholis sp. it didn't arrive. Help out)
From there, there are also 5-6 undefined types of smaller crunches - but they probably don't even make sense ((
