Hello there!!!!
please help me identify dorcadions.
As I understand it, there are 4 types here. if anyone knows please write.
Rostov region, Belokalitvensky district. 12-19.05.2015.

thank you in advance

I think 1 and 2 are males and females of Dorcadion cinerarium, 4 are Dorcadion (Autodorcadion) carinatum. Possibly 3-Dorcadion holosericeum

I think it's Leptura quadrifasciata caucasica Plav., 1924

By the way, what are the characteristics of the caucasica subspecies? I have in my collection a specimen of L. quadrifasciata from the Yaroslavl region with the same pattern (not solid, torn) first sling on the elytra, as in the Madara specimen. Well, unless the black spots are bigger.

"It's different...pale yellow color of the elytra, always noticeably paler than in the European-Siberian subspecies... " and less development of the black pattern of the elytra. Well, and geographical distribution. I caught both subspecies, the difference is quite noticeable. The Caucasian subspecies looks like an intermediate form between the nominative and Leptura maculata.

Krasnoyarsk Territory, in a bark beetle trap. 3 mm
. possibly episernus angulicollis ?
the last three parts of the mustache are long. The lateral edge of the pronotum is sharp only at the posterior corners.
Pronotum is narrower than the elytra. Its rear corners are almost straight.

I found labels for that bug, by the way, I somehow forgot about it during this time, but today's discussion reminded me.
17.07.1977 Kavkaz, Krasnaya Polyana. leg. M. Shestopalov (from him-also got as a gift).
And it was also defined by him as Leptura quadrifasciata caucasica Plavilstshikov, 1924 (opinions coincide).
I don't know what to think now. confused.gif

Leptura quadrifasciata caucasica ab. recurvata Plav . , or not so?

It has generally spread to the east in recent years. On July 12-14 of this year, he collected a series of M. melolontha near the village of St. Petersburg. Lishnyagi of the Serebryanoprudsky district of the Moscow region (from there he has been known for 10 years) and several copies. in the Pike town on the Sturgeon near the village. Shchuchye of the Venevsky district of the Tula region, as well as 1 copy. in the vicinity of Strakhovo, Zaoksky district, Tula region (along the Oka River to the south to Velegozh). Individual M. hippocastani specimens were also found in the first two locations, but not in the Oka River. For the first time, he drew attention to the large variability in the shape and size of the pygidium process in both sexes of M. melolontha. If anyone knows works on this subject, I would be grateful.
