Please help me to cope with the micra from Pestovo:

1-pass
2-hastiana of course [for maniacs: the form can be called f. brunneostriana Sheldon]! It doesn't even look close to cristana (it always has tufts sticking out of its wings)!
3, 4-small, most likely cicatricella or salopiella, large, most likely semipurpurella (sangii still usually has a dorsal spot)

And some more Pestovskaya micra.

1 and 2. Are they both Acleris logiana, or is one of them kochiella? At first, it seemed that they had very different wings in shape, but in fact not quite - the first one had a length-to-width ratio of 3, the second one-2.7. The behavior also differed (one of them was much more difficult to take a picture in the light, it flew away).

Andrey Vladimirovich, I am glad to see you in the definition of a swallowtail and in good health! Spring generation is difficult, maybe not him? I remember and adhere to your authoritative opinion on interbreeding and migration.

Hello. I'm talking about identifying a subspecies of papilio machaon from South Korea. I was a tourist, the gathering was at the beginning of April in a protected area, the number of butterflies was low, but all the swallowtails I caught and saw were large.. Unfortunately, I can't figure out what subspecies it belongs to. Perhaps this is a large spring form. I found images of papilio machaon hippocrates, but they indicate more modest wingspan sizes of about 8 cm, maybe I spread it out incorrectly, but my specimens are about 9-9. 5 cm in span. The largest exeplar has orange spots on the lower wings, I have read that different variations can occur within the same subspecies due to the influence of temperature. Such a large subspecies is found in Primorye, subspecies ussuriensis, for its summer form, the dimensions of about 9.5 cm are indicated. Is it possible that this is a larger spring aberration? I am very surprised by such a large size of the spring form, perhaps it is hybrids, or a little-known subspecies. Thank you in advance for your response.

Good evening! Really Sakhalin P. m. hippocrates C. & R. Felder, 1864 19.08.2016 with a wingspan of 8 cm-upper. Spring -lower is smaller - 7 cm. But seaside ones are usually larger.
