I don't know what kind of Nematopogon it is, with its long wings and copper color. magna, metaxellus? Standard size, i.e. smaller than swammerdamellus. Nerskaya street. Unfortunately, there is no bigger photo without a mustache, I ran away.

What do you mean, copper? They are yellow and they are gray. This one looks yellow.
Since the wings are long, I think swammerdamella is just a small specimen.
Upd. Although, probably, schwarziellus...

12.06.2017 14:17, Vlad Proklov

Mompha, very similar to langiella, but confuses the distribution of this species. Caught in Krasnoyarsk.

langiella most natural

good afternoon. The photo is not very good, but the shape of Qwilleran is clearly visible. The vertex is expanded with a rounded outer corner. The top of the valva is rather narrowed. Unfortunately, there is no photo of the butterfly.
Maybe it's Agonopterix multiplicella?

Yes, and the top of the valva is narrowed, and Qwilleran is characteristic.

I can't figure out how best to save moles before spreading, for two days.... ((
all the material collected is not suitable. Can live moths in ependorphs in the freezer to throw, and then defrost. The freezer is available in the fishing area )))

12.06.2017 17:32, Alexandr Zhakov

Live in test tubes, preferably at a low temperature, but not in the negative. Two days just stand even without cooling. at a cool temperature and in the dark.

In the refrigerator I have Cydia succedana and Lypusa maurella sat 5 days alive, and Nematopogon schwarziellus, Glyphipterix bergstrasserella and Incurvaria oehlmanniella - 4. Maybe more would have sat.

This is only applied to the genitals.
Just maybe someone knows at least the family of this "creature"? Very small, in the light. Two females. The wings all seem to be covered with distant hairs.

I would also like to know who this species belongs to.

Thanks! I think it makes no sense to click them without genitals if they are poorly spread. I will already be guided by taking into account the drugs. smile.gif

Alexander, and the imago itself should be pressed with cotton wool, so that it does not move?
I collected in ependorfs, after dropping ethyl acetate on the fleece. But my wings were deformed in a number of moles and tortricides

But no - let it just be nothing to do with her, then she won't wipe herself!
Let it move freely there - and the darkness and coolness will reduce its activity, so that it does not rage too much! ))

I only use glass tubes, ependorphs, plastic tubes are not suitable, for various reasons. I close the neck of the test tube with a thick cotton swab. the butterfly can move freely around the test tube, for a large "trifle" you have to take larger test tubes. Live butterflies usually do not even rub for a day or two. An hour and a half before straightening, I put the test tubes, if they are not already there, in a plastic bag with a zipper, put cotton wool with ethyl acetate there, the zipper closes and that's it. After 1-1. 5 hours, I straighten it out by taking out several test tubes. Everything turns out well, the butterflies are steamed in the test tubes in which they were, you do not need to transplant them anywhere.

Please help me identify the thick head. It looks like Ochlodes sylvanus, but I'm not sure. Sevastopol, 12.06.2017.

In Crimea, it would be Hellinsia osteodactyla.

I only use plastic ones. Before soaking, I store it in the refrigerator. Some can lie alive for a week or more. Flat moths can lie for several months.

Egira conspicillaris
Gluphisia crenata

3. You can't see the size and a very inconvenient angle, discarding several options, we stop at a leaf wrapper from the genus Aethes with this color of several species.
1 - Macdunnoughia confusa
2 - Rivula sericealis
4 - Tyta luctuosa
5 - Ostrinia nubilalis
6 - Cupido sp.

6. Cupido can not be by definition, a number of marginal spots are clearly visible, which are not present in this genus. Female of the genus Plebejus or Polyommatus.
