I would like to hear the opinion of experts about 2 scoops.
Both are defined as Xestia tecta, although they are not very similar to each other confused.gif.
The first, like, with Zap. Sayan (Ergaki), but definitely from the south of Siberia.
The second, exactly, is from the Norilsk region, ROC. Talnakh. 13.07.02.

There is a photo of Xestia tecta from the Volynkin A.V. collection, compare it yourself, most likely yes.
I brought a lot of things from the Norilsk region this season, but I didn't see her.
Its distribution:
Altai, Tyva, Buryatia, Baltic States, Northern Urals, northern Western Siberia, Eastern Siberia, part of the Far East, North America.
Here's more:

I think one view

Yes, I agree, most likely the color variations are like this.

Euxoa sp. genital analysis is better to do, something like E. aquilina, or E. nigrofusca, maybe something else.

IMHO so:
1. externally, luteella is not suitable enough, christophi is more likely, niponella is unfamiliar to me - I saw it only in the articles of Poltavsky - for a reliable determination, it is necessary to cook all the specimens.
2. anella (considering ruficostella as its synonym).
3. gigantellus - yes.
4. Pterothrixidia rufella s. l. (i.e. together with squalidella).

Sergey, thank you very much for a brief review of the submitted photos. With respect to Chilo, you are obviously right, for accurate species identification, instances will have to be cooked. This is also suggested by A. N. Poltavsky.
What are the morphological differences between L. anella and A. zelleri? I don't have a determinant for this group, but it's hard to tell the difference in the photo.

02.01.2019 19:42, Сергей-Д

Photos don't always work out that way. According to the determinants, you need to look at the venation of the hind wings.
But in general, anella with wider wings, on females especially visible they are even larger. In zelleri, the wings are narrower, and the" eyes " on the front wings are often smaller.
