I found it on the TV, thin, like after a molt recently. There are three types of plants in the room: raspberry, rosehip and oak-obviously the caterpillar was brought on one of them. I put it in a jar and presented the leaves of all three plants. I wove a "hut" out of them, bit off a little bit from each, but I didn't start eating in normal volume. I'm afraid that with such dynamics, he will die soon. I would like to determine, in order to find out the range of forage plants, maybe I'm not giving the right feed. Anyway, what can you expect from her? I can't even understand the family.

One of the leafmakers.
From the feed, leave it as it is and see what happens.
The image would not be bad to load a smaller weight, it is better visible.

Ah, so that's it, she just needs a bigger sheet to roll up. I've got plenty of leafmakers, but there are others, dark green ones with a black head. But I don't grow them, and I feed them to ants. I've never seen any black people, either in my apartment or in nature. Or are they just hungry black, and when they're full, they turn green?

This is a very strange statement. On the contrary, resizing kills details. In this section, by the way, it is made automatically, in the original photo even more and details, respectively, you can see more.

At a glance, what kind of black caterpillar can eat oak from leafmakers.
Archips crataegana, young Zeiraphera isertana, etc. (can be viewed from the Germans).
With a size of 900X600 pixels, everything is perfectly visible.
The caterpillar is young and cannot be identified by its details.
In adults, the head and ass are smashed together for detail, sometimes this helps a lot.

I agree, in the case of ENO, there was most likely a young caterpillar, and even a leaf wrapper, which is indeterminate to the point of view, the general appearance in this case is easier to perceive. But in large caterpillars, such as scoops, it is sometimes useful to remove the head and backside larger. Speaking of caterpillars, I hope it's Xestia triangulum. I feed you dandelion, but more for form's sake: on the skin are a few white gifts from riders. The only alternative is Epilecta linogrisea (with a small probability of mendica still, since I sort of mowed down blueberries), and I definitely wouldn't want to lose a caterpillar of a new species for the region from a bunch of poor parasites.

Please help me identify the tracks:
11,12-MO. Voronovskoe settlement, SNT "Solnechnaya Polyana". 01.05.16
Crawled at night to the light.
2-MO. Serpukhov district, Luzhki village. 08.05.16
The caterpillar is young, about 1.5 cm long. Collected on elderberry.
31,32-MO. Serpukhov district, Luzhki village. 08.05.16
Collected on white ochitke, but, apparently, was on it by accident.
4-MO. Podolsk. 09.05.16
Crawled across the road, already began to prepare for pupation.

on the skin are several white gifts from riders.

These are tahin eggs, as far as I'm concerned. I carefully remove them with sharp tweezers. If the larvae have not yet come out, then the caterpillar is "cured"in this way.

Here, of course, a little bit of the wrong profile of the caterpillar, but still, I will be very grateful for your help. Please tell me what kind of caterpillar/larva is this? Eats dandelions, sow thistle, sunflowers, marigolds, onions, in general, everything that is within the site. And maybe someone knows how to deal with it? I'm afraid to be left without a crop frown.gif
Date 14.05.16, location Penza region. I apologize for the huge photos

I think they're leaf beetle larvae.

It is similar to Allophyes oxyacanthae, so my intuition told me that this is it, and why did I review a dozen species that eat an apple tree before?))

Well, we have the same sources of definition, for me, too, Angelica. On the scoop, nothing smarter than the banal Polia hepatica / nebulosa does not come to mind, an unlikely alternative in the form of Xestia baja is also of little interest.

Good Evening.. On March 30, my wife found a goose on the asphalt and brought it to me. I, having identified it as a bear, decided that it had overwintered and was looking for a place to pupate. I put her in a jar of earth where a couple of last year's pupae were waiting to be released. after a couple of days, I realized that she was not in a hurry to become a butterfly and put her greens that were in the house, parsley and dill. she chose dill, which she ate for a few more days, after which she faded and continues to eat actively..I tried to give him nettles, but he doesn't eat them. leafing through the forum saw Phragmatobia fuliginosa, but that, like, as they write, there should not be already, and my head is red-brown and not black. the other dippers don't look alike, either. tell me plz....
Orel, today..

so no one answered my question.. frown.gif but I found out the answer, because yesterday the butterfly Epicallia villica came out jump.gif jump.gif
