Was there any mass occurrence of this species in poplars at all? There were several poplars that were covered almost entirely with them.

It resembles a sawfly larva. Do you have a bigger photo?
On the ash tree, Tomostethus nigritus lives en masse in May-June. But I do not claim that this is it-there are a lot of similar species.

Probably Neurotoma nemoralis L.

Probably Neurotoma nemoralis L.

It's possible, but it doesn't quite match the description. The apricot may also have Neurotoma fausta (Klug, 1808). I don't know what it looks like.

Please help me identify the caterpillars. Moscow region.
According to the first one, I can't decide whether Archips crataegana, or Celypha lacunana.
With the second one in general, so far nothing. A leaf wrapper or something ?

For many years now, green caterpillars have been appearing in my garden in May and June and eating pine needles in an organized manner. Only on pine trees, they don't touch the Christmas trees. They eat one branch, organize it in a colony, and then crawl to another.
Can you tell me who they are and how to get rid of them?
Thanks

These larvae are of two types: green and brown. They eat together, as a friendly family.

Because almost all the baggies eat it.

Baggies are polyphages that eat everything. At the very least, they should eat everything in a row. If it doesn't eat buckthorn, it may have already finished drinking and is looking for a place to pupate.

I thought so at first, too. But then what kind of place is she looking for? They don't bury themselves in the ground, do they?

It crawls and crawls, then spits, attaches itself, and pupates.

Hello. Help identify the caterpillar!) found in Crimea, Yalta, mid-June. There was a blackberry bush on the path next to it, and a young willow tree above it. It is approximately 8-9 cm long.
