I found it today under the bark of a dead tree on the beach. The first two, obviously the same species, despite the available legs, do not move.

The first two seem to be the family Pyrochroidae.

Linden skin, fresh as I understand it. Found today in the soil. Someone overwintered, and the skin was abandoned. Maybe a butterfly?

From last year, there was only one "uncertainty" found in the pine forest. It was either in a rotten tree stump or under it. Arkhangelsk region. Found last fall, successfully wintered, we are preparing for publication. Who should we expect?
The pupa is completely black, so it is extremely difficult to photograph details...

This is in comparison with the bedstraw hawk moth. I.e. the pupa is quite well-fed

Again, the crested rolleyes.gifbird is incredibly lucky for me on them. However, before that, the pupae were 3 times smaller, so I didn't even think that they were there again. shuffle.gif

First : MY DEEPEST APOLOGIES!!! For the fact that I may be applying again in the wrong way and in the wrong place, that is, in the wrong section. I ask for the help of entomologists in determining the type of beetle from the larva (unfortunately, the photo is without a scale ruler). Cuba Varadero (Icacos Peninsula) beginning of November 2011. Since I can't log in, I can't post a photo, but just give you a link. http://foto.mail.ru/mail/anatolii.musorov/752/880.html#
