Frozen, poor smile.gifman ))

And I have stood on the glazed loggia all winter, and nothing. The temperature there, however, rarely dropped below 0...

11.05.2007 15:57, americanecz

You understand!
I've been working with DRL for quite some time now...
And I tried everything I knew!
I changed the wiring of the entire trap, put a new lamp, turned it on at the dacha and in Moscow!
He doesn't show any signs of life at all!
No buzzing, no heating!

11.05.2007 15:59, americanecz

I just have a Throttle from the DRL 250 for the sixth year, wintering in the country and nothing, although I got it not new!!!

11.05.2007 17:12, Bad Den

So maybe it's time to replace it?

11.05.2007 18:51, americanecz

So maybe it's time to replace it?

You don't understand!
It wasn't the five-year-old DRL 250 that broke, but the DRL 400
that I bought new last summer!
By the way, I finally got home!
I bought a new 400 watt choke and a bunch of light bulbs!
Unlike the previous one, this one is in the case!
All in rubber pads does not get wet, sounds awesome does not make!
And the best part is that it works!!!

who can tell you how to shoot insects in poor light conditions?

who can tell you how to shoot insects in poor light conditions?

I'm sorry for the banal answer.
WITH A CAMERA WITH FLASH AND SUITABLE OPTICS.

20.05.2007 19:17, Pavel Morozov

DRL lovers.
From Friday to Saturday, I caught on the split DRL-250. Despite the warm and cloudy night (Moscow region, okr. Zvenigorod), flew poorly.
I decided to experiment and the next night I used the whole DRL-250. The result exceeded expectations. Until 3 am, insects staged a show "More and more diverse"! A non-split DRL is more effective than an AWR, and, it turns out, it is not inferior to a split one. I will continue to use it for now. We need to check it out.

Also at the weekend caught on a stab DRL!
"Three buckets of May beetles!" a couple of hawks, a couple of harpies!
Trupoediki there some!
In short, I burned my entire face, including my eyes... (I forgot my protection)
And the result totally sucks!
I don't know why, the weather is perfect!

21.05.2007 18:30, Pavel Morozov

to amerikanecz: Actovegin pokapay.
Well, on Saturday night the weather was fine, and on Sunday it wasn't any worse. However, the results are different from each other.
For results , see "fishing reports".

I've already called Eye Emergency!"
A bunch of drops and some kind of gel was prescribed!
In general, everything is already normal!
I think that here it is necessary to lay out ways to combat burns, a list of medicines, etc.!

21.05.2007 21:35, Pavel Morozov

Since eye damage caused by the use of powerful UV sources in the collection of nocturnal insects is not uncommon, I think a separate topic should not be opened.
I think the doctor's word will be useful for all participants.
A year ago, I myself faced such a problem-the feeling of" broken Christmas toys in the eyes "(the phrase is not mine), photophobia, sclera injection (the vessels of the" whites of the eyes " are dilated) are typical symptoms.
This is a rather dangerous condition, as it can lead to macular degeneration and reduced vision up to blindness.
I was treated as follows: 3 times a day-instill a drop of inocaine (painkiller), then a drop of actovegin. So for 2-3 days. It is good then to drink a course of multivitamins with vitamin A.
Some temporary relief is brought by the old folk method-cotton wool with tea on the eyes. Visin drops were COMPLETELY INEFFECTIVE.

But in addition to eye problems of an inflammatory and degenerative nature, prolonged exposure to harsh ultraviolet light can lead to:
reduced immunity
to hyperpigmentation and premature skin aging
, the development of skin neoplasms, including the most malignant tumor - melanoma. People with white skin, an abundance of freckles and moles and sunbathing in the sun is dangerous, not to mention the split flasks of mercury lamps.

About precautionary measures (it will not be superfluous).
Stock up on sunglasses, or even glasses with plain lenses.
It is advisable to wear a hat with a brim or a cap with a good visor
Without special need do not be near a strong UV source
if possible, alternate the use of lamps of different power (this has already been discussed in this topic)
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY-do not stare directly at the DRL with a split flask!
Probably, my parents taught me not to look at welding as a child.

So that's it!
I am being treated with the following medications:
- Solcoseryl eye gel
- Taufon 4% eye drops
-Centrum with lutein
- Blueberry syrup!!! =)))

21.05.2007 22:00, americanecz

by the way!
I want to note that not only the eyes are burned but also the delicate skin around them!
it just hurts kick-ass! Reddening bags under the lenses!
how stoned! So use sunscreen gentlemen!

21.05.2007 22:35, Bad Den

Along with the mentioned means of protection, I recommend using a sunscreen with the strongest possible protection factor. I use "Garnier Ambre Solaire something" with a protection factor of 400 "parrots". For different companies, this "protection factor" may be measured differently, so I advise you to take it with the maximum - it will not be worse.

Here they all shouted: Kalot, kalot!! Nifiga does not fly!
And the Terri yell: Aah! My eyes were burned out!! Kill me! I can't take it anymore!! Ahh!!

Whether I have an elephant's skin, or whether I have time to tan well in the sun by the time I start fishing for the lamp, but there were no problems so far (the third year I catch) with my skin and eyes, I don't apply special protection, I don't stare at the lamp, the lamp is a split 250 DRL Apparently, it matters individual response.

22.05.2007 14:02, RippeR

At first I wanted to prick, but then I changed my mind (or rather, I was dissuaded). Now I'm happy that I didn't split smile.gif

22.05.2007 14:05, omar

In general, it seems to me that it is never too late to split. In extreme cases, you can do it when it already burns out, if you really want to.

22.05.2007 15:53, Bad Den

Duc buy 2-split one and leave wink.gifone

Speaking of ultraviolet light, plastic glasses with dark lenses may be less effective than glass ones, even if they are not darkened. In dark plastic glasses, the following happens: the pupil, being in a darkening state, expands greatly and ... welcome, Mr. UGH!
And the glass absorbs ultraviolet light, even if it is an ordinary non-darkened glass.

22.05.2007 16:57, Pavel Morozov

Wow, how!
Friends! I responsibly declare that my opus is NOT an appeal not to prick flasks.

snake catchers also have a dangerous job, but gyurz and efs are required.

22.05.2007 17:01, Sungaya

To prick or not to prick-that's the question! :-)
Of course, prick, but do not forget about the means of protection!

22.05.2007 17:04, americanecz

People!
The best option is the one that was posted a couple of pages ago!
Safety glasses + eyeglasses or sunglasses (I recommend light colors or even yellow)
Today, a qualified doctor had...
in the evening I will post a list of medicines with a sequence and photos!

22.05.2007 18:38, RippeR

step1:
go to the pharmacy, buy a lot of medicines for future treatment
step2:
buy sun protection, regular and 1 with special coating glasses and put them on at once
step3:
buy zanar cream or sunscreen. Just in case, you should take
the step4 burn cream:
Wear a special jacket that protects your skin from harsh UV rays (in hot summer weather)
step5:
Put on a cap or a panama hat that covers the view, but protects from UV rays on the face
step6:
oh, fuck smile.gifit

We are preparing to go to the North Pole! lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif

You don't have to worry too much either. A picture appeared - an entomologist in a robocop suit with a net and a screen with a lamp. lol.gif

Banter by banter...
and the problem is serious!

In my humble opinion, and also, alas, based on the unpleasant acquaintance with iridocyclide (because of which I was unable to go to Tuva last year), I confidently say: NOTHING is worth the risk with the eyes. What does it say? Only treatment is more expensive than health. But not everything can be cured quickly.. And some-it is impossible at all...

a couple of aries types of scoops are not worth burning eyes and skin..

I personally just caught from the capital's apartment on my non-pricked drl. What can I tell you?. It looks like bolbelasmus has arrived, and I still can't recover from the shock.. The rest is to determine whether Odontaeus is a female or something else..

Lamps, I take it, are different? Fast and simple?

23.05.2007 8:04, Zhuk

And how much does such a mini-generator approximately cost? And how much does it last?

I found only an analog of Honda, it costs 11 700r
http://www.ei2000.ru/nc_list.php?nccod=261
The Honda itself was given to me by a friend in Africa, I don't remember exactly how much it cost him, somewhere in the region of$ 1000, that is, 2.5 times more than unknown brands.
it weighed 10 kg without fuel. Fuel - gasoline with additives. Enough for a long time.

In METRO you can buy a generator thousands for 9.

23.05.2007 22:18, Bad Den

Here is this generator (exactly this kind of one):
http://www.hondapowerequipment.com/ModelDe...delName=eu1000i

One "but" - it does not output 220 but 120 V

I authoritatively declare smile.gifthat UV lamps fly BETTER.

27.05.2007 21:36, Pavel Morozov

Caught yesterday alternating DRL-250 and DRL-125.
The tests were successful. The principle is that many butterflies sit at a distance. When you turn on the weaker one and turn off the stronger one, they fly up to the screen.
I did this: first I turned on 250, it worked for about 40 minutes, then I turned on 125 and turned off 250. 125 worked for 20 minutes, then 250, etc.

IT WORKS!!!

For more information about the material, see reports.

As a screen for fishing into the light, the horticultural covering material "Agril"has proven itself perfectly. The effectiveness was higher than just on a sheet. Minus - the material is fibrous, and many tenacious insects very firmly cling to it with their paws.
