Ornithoptera has seen a lot. I don't know what the species is, I haven't caught it (I'm not interested in butterflies). But they fly a lot, including on plantations (oddly enough).

I'll go back a little, sort out the material, and write a report on the Zinovsky website. There's no time yet... But I went very well. I'll just say that we've been to places where the local Aborigines haven't seen white people at all. And we went to the primary mountain forests, walking marches for 3 days from the nearest villages. We saw a lot. Nature is still there, super. But they cut godlessly and quickly. I flew back over west Borneo (lowland) - 30 minutes over clearings, no more forest... On Halmahera, forests are still 70 percent of the territory, but they are declining at a terrible rate.

Hello.
Interested in the question of farms where they grow Ornithoptera-have you seen them? It is not the first year that I have not been able to find dealers offering pupae of any species of this genus. Also interesting are the seeds of Aristolochia gaudichaudii and Pararistolochia spp. - forage plants. Well, A. tagala wouldn't hurt either... I will be grateful for any information.
