Volnyanki also settled inhospitable high-altitude areas. Representatives of the genus Lachana - record holders in height among volnyanki. In the mountains of Central Asia, males of the species Lachana selenophora Staudinger, 1887 they fly rapidly together with such daytime beauties as Parnassius delphius and Parnassius maximinus at altitudes up to 3600m and it is almost impossible to see them in flight, but occasionally they sit down to rest on wild onions, although the nutrition of their caterpillars, so far, has been noted only on herbaceous plants of the genus Dactylis (Poaceae).
Their Chinese relative, Lachana alpherakii Grum-Grzhimailo, 1891, has risen even higher. In the provinces of Qinghai and Sichuan, as well as in Tibet, they were also found at an altitude of up to 4500m. Females are wingless and do not leave the cocoon. The caterpillars are found on Elaeagnus angustifolia (Elaeagnaceae).

As promised, I publish photos of undefined volnyanki caught last year in Malaysia. All of them en masse, since I'm not sure they all care to begin with. Please take a look at everything and give a comment, and then I can post photos separately, if necessary.
