Interesting hybrids - China and Southern Europe. Are these hybrids prolific? Butterflies, of course, are great. There are simply no words. Thank you, Sergey!

For some reason, I didn't post these photos before.
At the fair in Prague in 2005, I bought 2 pupae of Perisomena caecigena.
It was October, and when I got home, the butterflies almost immediately disappeared.
To my delight, it was a male and a female.
The butterfly is widespread in Italy, the Balkans, Asia Minor and Georgia.
This material is from Croatia.
Years in the fall

Ah, it was-it wasn't.
May Hemaris forgive me if I intrude on the selection. mol.gif
And this is what, let's hope, will turn out from the caterpillar.

Actias chapae Mell, 1950
China, Gangxi
One of the most striking post-war finds. The butterfly was first discovered in Northern Vietnam near Shapa. The second discovery was made by V. Sinyaev in the mid-90s. Then it was discovered in the South-In China and again in Vietnam, only much further south.
You can assume that I showed off shuffle.gif smile.gif
