So this is the result of feeding the caterpillars leaves sprayed with antibiotics? or am I missing something? It's a very strange butterfly."..

what kind of antibiotics are they?

And what is the point of using antibiotics against viruses?

And what is the point of using antibiotics against viruses?

To prevent the death of caterpillars that visually appear sluggish, sick.
But despite all the positive and negative aspects of antibiotics, I do not welcome this method!
Moreover, there are other ways to prevent infection, and in the future the death of the entire culture. umnik.gif

And what is the point of using antibiotics against viruses?
According to surveys of sociologists, about half of respondents believe in the ability of antibiotics to kill viruses as well as bacteria http://www.rbcdaily.ru/2011/02/08/cnews/562949979675876

Oh how! Congratulations! And how old were the collected caterpillars? What did you feed them? How did you spend the winter?

Thanks! The caterpillars were from the second age to the last. There were a lot of them last year. It was possible to collect 10, 20, 30 kg. Vez last age. I finished feeding on bird cherry trees. We spent the winter on the balcony.

This photo clearly shows the effects of using antibiotics at the caterpillar stage.

Or maybe imbreeding is to blame in this case....

Do you plan to receive offspring ?

Do you plan to receive offspring ?

Roman, hi! We plan for morphological study of caterpillars. Only the first and second age are needed. We have all the others from last year. But so far, as I know, all experiments on mating have been fruitless. Andrey will do it tomorrow.

This is the second generation. It's all the fault of the drugs. There were more such specimens, but this butterfly distinguished itself the most smile.gif
