Dear forumchane, help identify the animal. I suspect that not an insect, but microclites

the dimensions are small, medium and large magnification of the microscope, respectively.
Found crawling on the monitor screen, just the only place where you can see such a small crawling bug. We took care of the search after we found small red spots on our body that itch, and then break out like papulae with lymph.
They look like those mites that almost always live in every house in dust, beds and generally almost everywhere. The symptoms are most similar to an allergic reaction, which occurs both from the waste products of these same mites (if they really swarm), and, for example, from washing powders, bleach and other household chemicals, as well as from improper nutrition... So you should not definitely associate ticks with pimples, although their running around on the monitor may indicate that they are really divorced quite a lot (which means that you need to arrange more thorough cleaning in the house more often).

Thank you, it's just that there was nothing like this before, but recently we have been buying ash cockroaches for feeding possums. Cockroaches are brought in containers, transplanted into cages, but periodically there are also some small beetles, midges and other small things, well, it's just not really possible to disinfect each cockroach before placing it in the cage. That's the whole point, first our squirrels scratched, and now here...

Wow! lol.gif I didn't know we were talking about a menagerie... shuffle.gifbut it still doesn't change much...

Well, yes, we have a big menagerie at home, well, I can't live without animals, at one time even 4 locusts lived in the aquarium, they sang songs at night. And cockroaches, crickets and zoophobos are never translated, we constantly feed them some chicks, now the nightjar lives, again, insects are needed. Thank you for your answer, I understand everything, I will turn on quartz more often in rooms frown.gif

People, help identify the insects. Not like I don't understand who they are. They bite, and there is a large red splotch at the site of the bite. Here's a photo.

On the left is a woodlouse, apparently.

how do I get rid of them??

25.09.2013 18:13, Zlopastnyi Brandashmyg

Poison!!!

If the woodlouse did not accidentally get into the house, then lower the humidity.

thank you, last fall these creatures were already gone, now there are more of them

Against cockroaches, the best remedy is cold! I fought them for almost a year. It turns out that in the cold season they were hiding on the refrigerator motor!
Therefore, all more or less warm places, as well as all sorts of crevices and cockroach habitats should be etched with special crayons and aerosols!

And do not leave spilled liquids, water drops and crumbs.

Maybe you really really need to? On the right (closer to the ruler) - a cockroach. On the left is a woodlouse (not an insect, but a crustacean).

Hello.

In a basket with dirty laundry in the bathroom, such an animal was seen: about 4-5 mm long, narrow, elongated, white-transparent. Inside, a pale brown something, probably intestinessmile.gif, didn't run fast, didn't jump, and didn't try to escape. Quietly waited for the photo on the iPhone and was insidiously crushed (which I later regretted, the photo came out indistinct). It was crushed easily, it even seemed to me like something similar to fish food. There was no smell when crushed.

Photo (poor quality, alas) here: http://d.pr/i/oRKP

Attention, question: can IT bite? About five days ago, while I was sleeping, I was bitten by something that makes the bites stick and itch. During these days, I developed paranoia about the possible presence of bedbugs in the apartment and bed, but a long search for them, a sharp turn on of the flashlight at night, monitoring of mattress seams, crevices and other things did not give anything at all.

In parallel with this transparent one, an ordinary black ant was also discovered today. And I want to believe that it was he who bit me smile.gif

Maybe one of you will be able to identify this white and transparent?

Thank you in advance!

This is tick

29.09.2013 21:24, Erika

And what kind of tick - do you know? And how to deal with them?

29.09.2013 21:28, Erika

The fact is that he was caught in an apartment on the 9th floor, where for 20 years there has been no domestic "living creatures". Is this tick dangerous? Does it live in apartments?

Here you can read about them.... And here is even more precise, probably... Most likely, from the attic, where pigeons live.

To be honest, I don't know much about the fight against them, so it's better to learn from specialists. Probably, different drugs based on cypermethrin will do - they are not very harmful to people (and I don't think there are any completely harmless ones). Information about them is easy to find. Common sense suggests that first of all it is necessary to process the attic of the whole house, and not some separate apartment. At the same time, think about how they get in from the attic and block the paths (for example, ventilation nets).

Yes, caddisfly. I think it is Oligostomis reticulata (Linnaeus, 1761), Phryganeidae.

cypermethrin won't take ticks. we need alphacypermethrin, better microencapsulated, holds longer and is safer because. it's only toxic until it dries up. when dry, the toxicity will be very moderate.

Argasidae. There may be information about them on the Internet.

Can you tell me who it is? And how to withdraw it? Found in the bathroom, a lot.Length 3-7 mm. Light gray. rarely almost black. They don't crawl fast, and they curl up when you touch them. They choke easily, leaving a pinkish spot on the white paper.

Dyk anything, even any dust in my opinion they feed on.
For entomologists, this is a real scourge: dry collections are destroyed.
And it is useless to fight them: some will be destroyed, new ones will definitely come.
