Thanks, more like the second one.

Tanya, please tell me if there were any traces of algae in the aquarium?

09.03.2009 4:33, Новичок2

I decided not to create a new theme. Oblong, brown, about 3 millimeters long. They can jump fast. Most of them were seen in the wall. Very fond of packaging with soap =) What is it and how to deduce it?

This is the beetle Oryzaephilus sp. (Most likely Oryzaephilus surinamensis). It lives in cereals, dried fruits, etc. It is believed that it is a predator, but there is an opinion that it can also feed on plant products.

Oblong, brown, about 3 millimeters long. They can jump fast.

Of course, it is 100% Oryzaephilus and, most likely, it is O. surinamensis. That's just about the ability of these beetles to jump quickly?! confused.gif This is something new, if you say it softly, and if you say it harsher - it can't be, because it can never be!

What's this mess? walks backwards and sideways, in the bathroom and toilet! from the front, two pincers, slightly larger than a match head. I don't know how to throw off a photo!

09.03.2009 21:32, Fornax13

False scorpion.

Not an insect. False scorpion of the Chelifer type. Nothing to be afraid of.

why did he come to me, where do they come from???

09.03.2009 22:28, Victor Titov

why did he come to me, where do they come from???

Yes, they live simply in the dwelling of a person. There is no harm - they feed on any small animals that they can overcome. Absolutely harmless neighbor for you!

09.03.2009 22:45, сантило

thank you all and then I was afraid to wash!

Mostly they slowly crawl, but a couple of times when I tried to pick them up, I had a pretty good jump. So for the first time I thought it was a flea. The speed is such that the process is more like teleportation. Maybe you don't know anything about them? Or maybe they're special to me...

It is considered to be a predator

an ogre? smile.gif

an ogre? smile.gif

No, only collects skullssmile.gif, these beetles are definitely not capable of jumping, but they are quite capable of flying.

10.03.2009 19:56, Аазя

hello, tell me is this the same bug?
user posted image

and then I thought that it was because of the dampness, more even in the bathroom than in the kitchen (

10.03.2009 21:06, Аазя

thank you, this is still him, I found the place where I was hiding, now we will pay more attention to the cereals yes.gif

Hello, and I have these little white beetles in my bathroom. No more than a millimeter in size, they run fast, and can't be identified from photos.

11.03.2009 16:10, Новичок2

From a distance, it looks like my neighbor. smile.gif

12.03.2009 7:04, ElenochkaBekker

Hello.
Two days ago, insects started up in the apartment and are breeding at a breakneck speed.
The body looks like a young ant, two small antennae, two wings with a small black dot in the middle. Light brown color.
The tail, as long as the body, thanks to it jump. They don't bite. I can't determine the source of distribution!!!
Please tell me what it is and what it eats!
Thank you in advance!

12.03.2009 9:47, viter

Try taking a picture. Somehow...

And the description is very similar to some kind of rider. If this is it, then:
1. An adult bug was born from larvae that parasitize the larvae of other insects. And she doesn't jump with her tail, she lays eggs smile.gifwith it )
2. Its larva most likely eats some barn pests (such as a bread grinder or tobacco beetle). Or maybe someone else. First, review your inventory to see if anything has started up.
3. The fact of the presence of ambergris pests is not a very pleasant thing. But because they are exterminated by riders - rejoice!
4. Stupid question. Did you happen to bring a log or a piece of wood into the house? The larvae that gnaw on wood are also parasitized by horsemen, often in large numbers.

In general, you intrigued me. Tell us about the search results!

12.03.2009 16:57, ElenochkaBekker

No, I didn't bring a log))
I found a large cluster of them on a dry dog rose.
I didn't see any other insects, though. After I threw out the rosehip, they immediately disappeared. Yes, they are still very sensitive to the cold, immediately freeze - a little draft, and then partially depart. What is more interesting, they do not have a developed oral apparatus. Don't they eat?

12.03.2009 19:36, viter

Well, if there is a cluster of wild rose bushes, then, Elenochka, I beg your pardon!

These are almost certainly not insect parasites, but herbivorous species. There is such a family Torymidae, and it comes across species that develop in fruits, and especially in rose hips.
They will not eat anything else, because females lay eggs only in young ovaries. They'll fly for a day and die. It's bad for them at home!

Regarding underdeveloped mouthparts: this is not uncommon in adult insects. But how did you consider it!?

I've never seen Torymidae before. Lucky you as tongue.gif

13.03.2009 5:11, ElenochkaBekker

Yes, you are right! I found on the Internet an exact copy of mine of this family!

Iwink.gif used to be very interested in biology and everything related to it.

13.03.2009 5:15, ElenochkaBekker

I read that it's a parasite. Who does it parasitize?

13.03.2009 16:36, viter

The fact of the matter is that yours are most likely not parasites, but herbivores.
If you are so interested, look for Megastigmus aculeatus Swed. "Roseate long-tailed seed-eater. It will also be similar smile.gifIn them, the females lay eggs in the rosehip ovary, and the larvae feed on seeds.

And in order to determine the type of Such a hymenopteran from a photo , it is necessary to be a major specialist in this particular group, and even have the audacity smile.gif!
Other Torymidae (if I'm not mistaken, there are more than a thousand species) are really more often parasitic. They parasitize very, very different insects!

Recently, small brown beetles up to 3 mm in length began to appear on the windowsill, on curtains, sometimes on the floor and on the bed... It looks like they can fly, but they do it inactive smile.gifand in general they are some kind of sluggish, but the neighborhood with them leads my wife to a wild panic tongue.gif

Leatherworms of the genus Attagenus. In my opinion, so much has already been written about them here...

Thank you, we will fight!

Well tc spring! smile.gif Anthrenus picturatus in the attached photo.
Brown-probably Attagenus smirnovi again.
We've already written a lot about them.

15.03.2009 18:31, inuska

They don't jump, it's very damp on the window, and that's where I found them. And then they appeared in the refrigerator. I've been through everything, but there's still a little more.

22.03.2009 11:36, Lika

I don't know what to do with these flycatchers anymore!
I can't get along with them in one room, I've been sleeping in another for a week now... =(
Because the last week they have become very active, 3 pieces a day can be seen on the wall, and if you say that they are the same, but they are new every time (I kill those!)
I live in a private house, presumably crawling out from under the windowsill...
Please help me, tell me the right way to get rid of them, otherwise, by their appearance, they will bring me to a nervous breakdown!

P.S. And it is not necessary for me to rub what they are harmless and non-smelly and generally such "milashechki", I have already read this!
I need effective ways to destroy these creatures!

22.03.2009 11:40, Vorona

It's easier and safer to calm wink.gifdown

22.03.2009 13:01, Lika

Somehow I can't do it... wall.gif
They disgust me!
And I will by any means but survive them!
