Greetings to all of you, dear colleagues. It's been awhile since I've been around here. There is a lot of work going on, so we managed to open the season only now. Actually, in sunny Moldova, the weather finally cleared up and it even coincided with my rare weekend.

The trip turned out to be not the first time caught a place called the village of Razen, which is 30 km south of the capital. These are meadows near water bodies and bordering acacia groves.

We were with I. Kostyuk outside the city and, returning, decided to fish for a short time somewhere along the way. We turned into the forest near Osykovo, Makarovsky district, the road turned out to be disgusting-we left autographs with bridges, we decided to look for another road back, which further reduced the fishing time (Igor went to the robot in the morning). I tried to scare the first thunderstorm, but somehow a little pokapalo, rattled and decided to go to Kiev.
Caught from 20.00 to 23.00. Years very good, the species composition is almost normal for this time
12 species of moth
Tetralunaria, aescularia, hispidaria, pilosaria, strataria, leucophaearia, marginaria, crepuscularia, biriviata, siterata, cervinalis(this pleased-about a dozen and a half, though out of 7 that I took I chose 2), carpinata-with the exception of the first one, there are many of them, and the hispidarium is generally a mass. I am surprised by the lack of khirtariyas –maybe they didn't wait.
Scoops
of Coryli, vaccinii, erythrocephala, transversa, flammea, incerta, cerasi, cruda, and leucographa species are scarce-with the exception of the first and last all others in large numbers (flammea-in bulk).
Endromis unexpectedly arrived here, although on Saturday they were already flying very well about 60 km to the NW, but there are birches there.

I was surprised by the early appearance of the carmelite Odontosia carmelita - about 10 specimens, some of which were already recorded.Previously caught in the 20th days of April. An interesting specimen of Endromis versicolora arrived - the right half is a male, the left half is a female) . And nothing else of interest, remnants of orthosium (incerta, cerasi, gothica).In the mass of a pine scoop, a little Colocasia coryli . From moth-in the mass of Ectropis crepuscularia, single carpinata, Biston strataria . Took-Selenia dentaria and Aethalura punctulata .

The place is interesting, maybe we will go to Balmaz again sometime in May. These hills are a huge pasture, and the bad thing is not that it is trampled, just not, but that the main area is covered with a dense layer of cereals. Just felt. So botany is pretty poor. You can't compare it with Rezens. There are abandoned cornfields, and everything that grows only in Moldova has sprung up on the old arable land. There are at least four types of wormwood alone.
In Balmaz from interesting for the first time came across 6 pieces of Onthophagus lemur. In the photo of Sasha's mattress, they seem to be there too. In sheep's dung, if a piece is even the size of a kiwi. They eat it out completely from the inside, leaving something like an empty cocoon.
Well, and a certain number of small finds, ground beetles, weevils. And three small black aphodia from the puddles-crawling on the wet mud at the water's edge.

The land is an old bacone vineyard, about forty years old by my reckoning. I don't know how he got to the 6th floor. On my balcony, the vine twists and grows downwards. 15 years ago, when I moved into this apartment, it was already just as old. This is a real jungle, and not a year passes without me finding something new and interesting in it. Ten or so days later, Phymatodes fasciatus, although I haven't seen them fly, probably crawls up from below. Maybe Mesosa curculionoides, but only a couple of times it happened. Nalassus dermestoides comes regularly - well, these are now everywhere in the city. Already this year I saw several pieces of Anthribus nebulosus. there are a couple of Ropalopus macropus in the collection, and Callidium violaceum and Ropalopus varini each. Other barbels also fly, but not all of them can be caught. Oh, last year Sonya lived in the vineyard. Yes, Sonya. Such a tree mouse.
And today I noticed some beetles that were flying rather chaotically around the distant small branches. There was no way to catch it. So that from the summer - so you can't really wave your hands there, it's very crowded. They landed far away and not for long, just for a few seconds. At the slightest shaking, they immediately fell. I got tired of it, I took a ladle from the kitchen and just put it under a twig with a beetle and lightly tap it on the twig. the beetle falls into this bucket. So I caught three grand in a day! now a balcony smoke break is a real safari - in the left hand a cigarette, in the right-a terrible bucket. I wonder if this method can be called mowing? And what, the beetle is collected by mowing with a ladle on grapes.
In short, the beetle turned out to be Psoa viennensis Herbst, 1797. Of the Bostrichidae. I've had enough of him. And tomorrow I'll go again!
