then Andreas : - in general, a cool report on fishing))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Scarabs are very interesting on the mattress
It's a pity that I had no chance to go, so I would have met,but I think next year I will go in April
I caught a bunch of beetles myself, now I need at least two or three days to rout***

Just ask smile.gif
I will cover only the entomological side of the trip so far, as I want to sleep smile.gif

I arrived on the 25th, while I was looking for a house, I found the first trophy. The beetle is very slow and lazy.
picture: 1.JPG
Not waiting for Andreas, I quickly ran to Mount Bald, which is very close, as I could not stand the tedious wait for fishing.
Callimachs, ausonians, rapeseeds, dapples, rubies flew, I was happy to meet Tireya Yakubovia, alexis, a couple of killed vixens, and several cute beetles, including a small weevil, a small cute seedling, goldilocks, Helladia millefolii, a couple of male carinatum. I also saw a couple of hawks and almost caught one, but the reptiles are too fast-they look like milkweeds or something else from Hyles sp.
2.JPG
3.JPG
4.JPG
The next day we went to Shchebetovka, I thought to get to Kurban Kaya like last year, but he took us in a completely different direction, and led us to the Karadag Nature Reserve. There was quite a lot, mostly whole, afra. A couple of polychloroses were flying around, broken up.
From beetles, found dorkash cinerarium, under the old bark of a dead geotrup ? stercorarius, rattle and opatrum (please tell us that opatrum is not sabulesum! smile.gif)
5.JPG
6.JPG
7.JPG
And at night we went to wander around the city, taking a box just in case.. Of course, our feet took us far, and having walked around the floor of the city, we examined a huge number of lanterns, where we clicked a little night.
8.JPG
Then we went to Kamenskoye for 3 days, to pick up various beetles, mainly because there were not enough money. Of the butterflies, mostly a few ausonias, and a couple of moths in the light. But beetles-expanse, despite the dry land-because there were salt marshes nearby, and stones in the field came across, traps were set, in which almost nothing but dead eaters and bombers did not come running, a pile of mud on the shore, under which a lot of everything - beetles, bystryanki, crazy earwigs, all sorts of incomprehensible beetles, staphylinchiki..

picture: 12.JPGpicture: 13.JPG
14.JPG15.JPG
picture: 16.JPG17.JPG
picture: 18.JPGpicture: 19.JPG
picture: 20.JPG
We were hitchhiking back from Kamenskoye by train smile.gif

And the next day Vadim Shustov called and suggested that we go with him to catch callimakhs, which he wanted to catch for a long time, and try to catch Hebe. I suggested Megan, which I really liked last year, where there are definitely callimachs and a lot of interesting things.
Of the butterflies, there were, of course, callimachs, terribly broken afras, sometimes short-term vixens fell out, nice vikrams pleased, which I wanted to catch for a long time, and last year I caught only 1 male. Willika was sitting on a bush, maybe for someone banal, and I was pleased smile.gifI caught a couple of male duponchels, which I also wanted to catch for a long time. Shustov seems to have seen Zegris, but could not catch him-a smooth fast flight in the wind from steep slopes, this is not a game for you to play smile.gif
From beetles, although not much, but very interesting things. For example, a cute little black calf sitting under a rock, a beautiful opatrum, again under a rock, like tristis, beautiful goldfish, one of which is definitely new to me, but which is quite difficult to catch, as the reptiles quickly do not fly very noticeably and sit on the ground or plants, and then just as quickly get away.
I found a couple of goslings, a Dybka larva and an Empusa larva, still alive and pleasing to the eye at home smile.gif
21.JPG22.JPG
picture: 23.JPGpicture: 24.JPG
25.JPGpicture: 26.JPG
picture: 27.JPG
And then we went to Ordzhenikidze, hoping to catch Geba. They didn't find her, but they managed to catch 1 duponcheli, a cute German woman and a couple of ausonias.
picture: 28.JPG
We also visited Okoyo and took some interesting beetles and butterflies from him. Then, until 2 and a half nights, we walked 20 km on foot along the road along the seashore, until at the end of our journey we were still stopped by a taxi driver and drove the last few km.

To the Rippera report, I can only add Aricia allous, which I caught near the Sea. Butterfly for the Crimea is not quite ordinary, and at this time (May 1)even more so.

How can we be sure that allous, and not agestis? The question is far from trivial.

Rip, a black-bodied bird that is 11 mm long, is very similar to Nalassus faldermani, which seems to have not been recorded in the Crimea. But according to the photos, it's quite a thankless task to determine the nalassus.

Actually, you can also use the straightener. Interesting shape of the wings and red holes. And the underside is not interesting, the underside of allous and spring agestis practically do not differ.

Reliable, but incomplete. It is better to look at the recent work of Nabozhenko. I'll try to give it to you. In green, the genus is called Cylindronotus. But just in case, send it away.

Today we have a downpour, while I was driving to the place, the rains ended, but it wasn't there smile.gifwhen I arrived at the place,it started raining again, one after another and for 2 hours I was climbing through the forest with a wet net, looking at winged saldatikov among bedbugs and collecting cows under the leaves of wet trees.

I think Oenopia conglobata is a rare cow, otherwise I found a cluster of about 30 individuals in a hollow birch tree

Furcipus rectirostris 25 pcs-60 strokes a net on a plant with white inflorescences and leaves that resemble cherry leaves in shape, only larger and slightly lighter

Sciaphilus asperatus - 1 piece on rosehip (mowing, smile.gifI won't get any more)

I also found two paralelepipedus dorcus under the logs (male and female)

It was really nice to get out into the woods today. More precisely, they did not go into the forest itself, all along the edges - flowers and logs.. Many species of barbel - Cerambyx scopoli, Morimus funereus, Plagionotus arcuatus, Cortodera humeralis, Phymatodes alni, Phytoecia nigricornis, Callimus angulatus, etc. as well as 1 Melolonta hippocastani, Hoplia 2-3 species, Bostergichus cappucinus, Potosia kupreya, etc.

Of course not in such quantities,I caught this mattress from March 29 to May 10, and even over the beetles themselves for at least half a day of work (spread the legs), and spread it out with tweezers smile.gifSo you think after this it's worth collecting a series or is this copy enough?- Of course, it's easier not to soar brains and catch a couple (but it doesn't seem serious)

From April 31 to May 4, I managed to go to the Crimea.
We were traveling to the Kerch Peninsula for non-entomological issues.
In the vicinity of S.Novonikolaevka.
But along the way they were engaged in catching insects.

Short photo chronicles.

A section of the Bolshoy Krymsky Canal.

1IMG_0649_ik.jpg

The base was set up on the Western slope of the Station reservoir,
which supplies Kerch with water.

2IMG_0706_ik.jpg

Next door to the windmills.

3IMG_1292_ik.jpg

I remember well the strong, constant wind and low temperature.

4IMG_0778_ik.jpg

Night fishing. Sadly. One instance of Hadena silenes. As for me, this
is the only and only valuable copy from the entire trip.

6IMG_2737_ik.jpg

5IMG_0766_ik.jpg

By two o'clock in the morning, the Hebes had flown. It would be interesting, if not for one
circumstance. In his native Melitopol district, the last week
of April, there was a mass exit of Hebe. On April 29, my partner
collected 30 Hebe males in ten minutes outside a rural store window
. And there's still about that many left,
sitting high.

7IMG_0803_ik.jpg

In the Crimea, on the first night, 25 arrived, and on the second-15 copies. Gebs.

8IMG_0796_ik.jpg

If you disturb Hebe, who is sitting at rest, she lifts
her "collar" and releases a couple of drops of clear liquid.
Probably poisonous. And if you continue to disturb the butterfly, then
droplets of brown liquid appear at the edges, this is probably
a "hell of a mixture". (???)

9IMG_1341_ik.jpg

Portrait of Hebe.

10IMG_4342_ik.jpg

In the morning, ornithologists visited us at Ogonyok.

11IMG_0912_ik.jpg

During the day, we collected and picked beetles. There were almost no butterflies.
They were blown away by the wind, into the Sea of Azov. smile.gif
