In my swamp, the situation is somewhat different.
Jutta is already flying away a little. Paleno, and no fatheads to be seen.
All three types of mother-of-pearl flew out.

Good day, Colleagues !
On May 26, I, Alexey Makarov (Eidalon) and Alexander Kurmaev (STIGMA) decided to go to the north-west of the Tver region for the nominee Boloria frigga. According to all known reports, this is the closest swamp to Moscow where the butterfly lives. Korobkov Alexander Grigoryevich, the former head of the Udomel forestry, helped us in this case.
We got up at 3 am. We started at 4, arrived in Seltso-Karelskoye of the Udomlich district at 9 am.
picture: DSC07811.JPG
Without long intending to go to the swamp.
picture: DSC07812.JPG
picture: DSC07814.JPG
Walk for an hour and a half. As usual, the way "there" is fast. We went out to the swamp at 10.30. But it's empty. The temperature is already +18, but the night was cold +5. Cloudberries-aft - sea. Especially from the edge of the swamp in a tall pine forest..
picture: DSC07817.JPG
The swamp itself is dry, so you can sprint after an insect. The legs practically do not fall through and do not slurp. Surprisingly, there are no bumps. Cranberries are few and cloudberries plentiful. Pine forests are quite rare and low.
picture: DSC07818.JPG
picture: DSC07819.JPG
As a result, we met the first Friggs closer to the center of the swamp. Caught on three quite a lot of males and only 3 females. Some males can be seen flying for a couple of days. We caught only a few fresh males of Boloria eunomia ossianus. The butterfly is noticeably smaller than the specimens from the Batkovsky swamp of the Moscow region and somewhat resembles the Polar Ural ones. For myself, I concluded that Frigga takes off 2-3 days earlier than eunomia. You can say it at the same time.
picture: IMG_20180526_111149.jpg
picture: IMG_20180526_115318.jpg
As a result, we wandered through the swamp for 3 hours. We met 3-4 Jutta females and not a single male ! I don't know where they are. They shouldn't be leaving yet.
Back left at 5 pm via Bologoe that would immediately use the high-speed M11. There are no cameras on it. Some go "pedal to the floor". We lost half an hour near Sodnechnogorsk. We got home at 10 pm.
Photos of straightened butterflies will be attached as they dry on the straightener. Frigga males were found in both light and dark shapes. One was actually a brown-gray aberrant. This is how the trip turned out.

I couldn't resist rushing back to my swamp. Impressions: cloudberry and rosemary are fading, cranberries are blooming. Something unimaginable is happening this year with horseflies - it seems that either they are swarming like bees, or I got to some of their temples. I'm still surprised they didn't take me back to their nest. You take a swing at a butterfly, and there are already 3-4 horseflies buzzing in the net. Some birds of prey had settled in the middle of the swamp. I didn't go near the nest, because they were squeaking too menacingly.
After the black diggers, there are still some surprises.
Frosya simply presses with her quantity - because of her and horseflies, it is simply impossible to concentrate. Finally, B. eunomia took off. There is still a lot of Utah, but almost all of it is transparent. Females mostly sit on wild rosemary bushes, while males hang from pine trees. The mass of C. paleno is both male and female. I found two males sitting in the winter garden. Did you drink water or something? I didn't find Frigga confused.gif

I couldn't resist and decided to visit Moleka's property - the swamp near d-today.Naschi. I walked along the power lines, walked through the open swamp and returned to the highway through the pine forest. The first feeling - the same horseflies in incredible quantities!!! mad.gif B. eunomia scurry among the pine trees - very decent quality, and the females are quite fresh. B. frigga is also occasionally found there, but it is already very, very oldfrown.gif, which is amazing - there is practically no frosi, although it is not measured under the Forest one. In the open, it's empty. Sometimes Yuta females fly by. Well, in the photo-samples of what is now flying under the Pimples.
And yes, a question for experts: why, under the Pimples, without meeting a single cloudberry bush, I still found frigga, and under the Forest, where cloudberries are a carpet, it has not yet been found?

I went back to my swamp. From the burning ripples in the eyes! Absolutely not shy, almost climb into the net themselves. Coenonympha hero appeared - so far they are not numerous. Frosya and Yuta arrive. 40 years of Angerona prunaria.
Gentlemen of the North-Westerners, please beaconite when you spot the tail. Last year, they were massively sitting on the inflorescences of kupyr, but this year, I haven't seen them yet, although kupyr is already in full bloom.

Have a nice day, while the impressions are still fresh, I will describe my adventures over the past twenty-four hours. I dabble in breeding, if anyone doesn't know. And I have a certain Wish-list. As of yesterday, there were Loathoe amurensis (for me, so it's in honor of the boy with a slingshot that once pierced my heart) and Scolitantides orion, an animal that is generally banal, but we will bend it in the afternoon. As you know, the shortest road is the one you know, so I went to catch animals, where I caught them 10 years ago. The first point is Nikonovo, the mecca of Penza entomology. For many years I was on duty there with a net under the lanterns, until civilization came and the DRL was replaced with LEDs. And everything was fine, but... now I have a car-a stylish hatchback of the twelfth model released at the very beginning of this millennium, so I have to drive it, damn it... It has long been proven that to catch a butterfly - it is not necessary to climb the highest mountain, and that in relation to the Penza region - in the most chepyzhnik. I think I can even guess that hawks can fly, and they don't care what kind of hummock the sheet hangs on, but the SPIRIT of SUSANIN lives in me and lives well, so I went to the place where the road ends. He sat down in the sand up to his bumper without any trouble. It was getting dark. This is where the basics of Zen Buddhism came in handy. Deciding that the morning of the evening does not understand, I started the generator and lit up. Needless to say, amurensis didn't arrive? The whole standard set of hawkmoth arrived, except for aspen, but fortune does not cut ends, she beckoned me with a carrot on a string in the form of a female Poplar hawkmoth, Well, on fishing and crucian carp-baba, but not with empty cages and there is something to strive for.
While the entomofauna was settling on the sheet, I tried using a jack, rocks, and a well-known mother to curb the friction force, and the third time it worked. It would seem to lie down, sleep - Nafiga? Go to Sosnovoborsk for orions! A mad dog you know (see map).
Having reached the cherished clearing, which my classmate and associate of Oleg P... Vitya Chernyshov showed me (grandmercy to him and health), I decided to take a nap, having disassembled half of the cabin in advance in order to achieve at least some horizontality. Don't try it again. It took me an hour and a half to catch mosquitoes, which, despite the scrupulous genocide, continued to arrive from the technological openings of my Batman mobile. I wanted to sleep, or at least die. And here he is - Morpheus, I feel the warmth of his embrace... " Dick! Barbell, " as one commenter put it. Alarm clock! I borrowed my wife's phone to use the navigator, and it has an alarm clock set for 5: 45!!! It was a fiasco, citizens! I admitted that the dream wasn't my thing, and I followed the crocs, but of course I didn't find anything, and I scooped up Orions on the way back to the car, which is how it happens. In total, one point of the trip was completed, which means that everything was not in vain.
On the way back, the taxi took two Tatar women to Penza for 500 rubles, which somewhat softened the bitterness of the morning. To be honest, the most memorable part of the trip was the huge furry flies...The photo will be released later.

Judging by the weather, by the end of the week, most of them will be already broken. Last year, some individuals were caught until mid-July.

We also spent the weekend usefully and went to our favorite Vasilyevsky cordon, which is located in the Dobrovskiy district of the Lipetsk region. The place is simply unique in its floral and biotopic composition. Staritsy, oak grove, pine forest, mixed grass meadow, xerophytic stations. As Ilya said - " from the desert to the taiga in one bottle."
Arrived quite late, pm glasses did not even put, and in general with the bug on this trip was quite deaf. Of course, I mowed down various small things, but the genital analysis of this good will take a lot of time and effort.
Everything blooms and smells. Fields of smolki and Sogopagia, highlander with a peduncle in a meter....
On each grass blade sits 3-5 Anisoplia segetum and a bunch of cockroaches.
One of the targets was Odezia atrata, but there was only one and not me frown.gif

Day. Cinxia, athalia / britomartis, selena, first brentis; very early, small, but mostly trivial. 3 types of haylofts. Under the shade of the Lasiommata maera oak forest. 3 types of chervonets, 2 types of caudates, and 4 types of other "cabbage rolls". Weight of Siona lineate and Diacrisia sannio (males onlyfrown.gif), also 1 piece of Rhyparia purpurata, and for the first time in the Lipetsk region !!! Hyphoraia aulica!!! (3 women-one went to divorce, and 1 male). Doletki mnemosyne and swallowtail. Hawthorn trees.

We visited the Scolitantides orion lair. Butterflies were flying away, and there were a lot of eggs and geese on the cleaning floors.

Night. Hawkmoth: ocular, linden, pine, medium and small wine. Proserpine is absent frown.giffrom 5 species of crested whales, 2 species of Spilosoma, Eilema sororcula, Cybosia mesomella, Calliteara pudibunda. A lot of different scoops, among which I would like to mention Elaphria venustula, 2 types of b/w Hadena, with" ..drins " and apamea still need to be sorted out. Especially pleased with 7 pieces of Meganola strigula-I never caught it jump.gifA bunch of all sorts of moth, a lot of Eupithecia, but then "cook and cook". New to me Electrophaes corylata smile.gif
Adopted: Arctia caja, Cucullia verbasci and Catocala electa.
Great ride! Respect to all participants and see you soon! beer.gif

Yesterday, I walked a like-minded person through mnemosyns in the vicinity of the city. Mnemosyne is already running out, all torn. The furious wind did not allow the butterflies to rise from the grass, and the frightened one was carried far away in xxxx.
Mnemosyne, hawthorn, 1 piece of rutabaga, a lot of cinxia, killed palaemones and tagesas, a lot of Siona lineata. I took a couple of Satyrium pruni females. Polixena husks are still hiding, but there are a lot of nibbles. tavolga began to develop new territories, which gives hope for a good catch of stenokorusov and bronzovok fiber wink.gif
I caught 2 species of beetles of my dreams: Orsodacne cerasi (Linnaeus, 1758) - I already lost faith in its existence on the territory of the Tambov region and here it is! jump.gif and melandridka Dircaea quadriguttata, but still need to look wink.gifjust for the first time I collect it myself jump.gif

Then ask in the botanical part of the forum about some large and not too northern station of clematis straight, maybe in the MO you will find it, and if you are very lucky, then some finished moth will break off!

In the Yaroslavl region, a striped moth eats lumbago - that is, it should be searched for in Alpatievo.
