Well, it's done!!!!Apparently it became a shame for my report without photos and beauty of Kaluga.....

21.07.2015 1:31, Oleg Nikolsky

Well, if you represent a site in a scientific forum, you want serious people to look at it and understand the definitions, then you need to give an appropriate answer. information. Again , in order to come in later and take the butterflies of the Bryansk region seriously , there should be relevant generally accepted information. Otherwise, they're just pictures. These people will come in once and never come back... The site must have some idea, some goal, and some audience, respectively...
"Share any available information" ... hmm... when a dozen or two photos - it is quite possible. But when their number exceeds thousands, if you seriously shoot and work with serious people accordingly... this is already going to be a serious problem. And why do you need to ask for this - is it some kind of mystery?

Sorry for the daily delay with the response, it turned out to be quite a fine day in a series of rainy ones, I spent it in the "field".

"The site must have some idea, some goal, and some audience, respectively." My site's goal butterflies-32.net absolutely
definite - to make it easier for people who are interested in nature, not biologists, to identify butterflies that they met in the environment (mainly in the Bryansk region) and recorded either simply in the head, or in the form of photographs. Unfortunately, none of the printed or electronic butterfly catalogues I know of are fully qualified for this. Very informative and useful site insectamo.ru it focuses on
images of unfolded butterflies. I know from my own experience that it is often impossible to identify an insect seen in nature from its collector's image. You need pictures in those species that are typical for insects in natural conditions, and not "on the cross". A site rich in a huge amount of information insectamo.ru It contains a large number of pictures of butterflies in natural conditions, but it is often difficult for a layman to even determine the family in which to look for your butterfly by its appearance, especially given that the site's content covers the entire world. The answer search tree turns out to be quite extensive, even if you manage to catch on to the correct family. Website lepiforum.de It is most friendly to unsophisticated nature-loving visitors (apart from the absence of the Russian language), but the relative remoteness of the natural and geographical areas covered there from the Bryansk region does not fully cover the possible requests of Bryansk naturalists. Therefore, I posted on my website "visual navigators" with natural images of those butterflies that were caught in the lens of my camera and may catch the eye of Bryansk nature lovers. If you find a suitable butterfly image in the visual navigator, then you can go to the page with this taxonomic view and make sure that your definition is correct or incorrect. That is, my site is really "just pictures".

I'm not a biologist, much less a specialist in lepidopterology, like many members of the insect forums molbiol.ru Because of
this, I often make mistakes in determining the type of butterflies in the pictures. In order not to mislead visitors to my site, I consider it necessary in doubtful cases to seek help from experienced forum members, who, by the way, are also not all professionals-lepidopterologists. Many thanks to everyone who answers me constructively and to the point.

Regarding butterflies-32.net/july-2015 It should be considered as an exchange of current, up-to-date information with other interested forum participants. Such information is often very useful to me in terms of information about what butterflies can be expected to meet in the near future. In addition, many of the images on the forum are aesthetically pleasing.

About your comment about "working with serious people". I have little idea of the "generally accepted information" from the point of view of a professional lepidopterist, which may be of interest to him. Moreover, I am sure that the interests of professionals can be very different, for example, due to the differences in the taxa that each of them studies. Therefore, there is nothing but the date and frame number for each photo on my site. If necessary, for any of the site's frames, I can find the location of the shooting in my records and, possibly, specify a specific biotope. If any professional needs this information, I am always open to communication and will be happy to help in any way I can, there is no secret in this. I consider it unnecessary to post this data for each of the hundreds of images, taking into account the target audience of my site.

Finally, I don't have any qualms about wanting to visit my site. If some "people come in once and don't come back", this is their choice. For me, the main thing is to make the site useful for my target audience, and nothing more. Of course, I will be very happy if something turns out to be useful for professionals.

We went to Alekseyevka yesterday.
The beetles are almost gone. I caught a few butterflies on fox feces, mostly mourners and pigeons. Photos also turned out a little (messed up most of the pictures).
But there was just a hell of a lot of mushrooms!!! I've never seen anything like it! Mushrooms were covered with everything and everywhere: buttermilk, podberezoviki, russula of all colors, valui, mushrooms, a lot of all sorts of incomprehensible "open-shaped" mushrooms...
We easily, without much effort, collected 3 bags of butter in 3 Christmas trees! Yesterday I was exhausted to process them, but I am happy with the result - two half-liter cans of young butter are made according to forgotten recipes.

I almost forgot. I went to Storozhevka yesterday morning. I didn't take a camera, so I don't have any photos. Although there was something to photograph - blooming kermek Gmelina whole fields, a very beautiful sight. I even picked a few twigs for myself. There were almost no beetles, so only one Lixus incanescens was caught, and even no bedbugs! Just spiders, aphids, and ants. From the butterflies came a couple of battered pigeons....
Actually, the goal was to test one plant. I came to the point, and there everything is plowed!!! (like protecting the steppe from fires) These assholes, these assholes destroyed my point with Ceutorhynchus fabrilis and Ceutorhynchus viridanus.... It was necessary for them to plow in this particular place....

Taki dela. I plan tomorrow or the day after tomorrow to try to go to Kumyska in the evening, maybe there will be snacks...

August 2, near the city of Oryol, p. Luzhki.
I would like to see the state of the populations of teleus and navzitoy pigeons. There are a lot of krovokhlebki, pigeons of both types, too. Especially a lot of navzitoy this year!. Almost every plant had bloodworms sitting on it. They usually met alone. Osiris is the second generation of numerous people. Minimus is a lot, Semiargus got caught, and of course Corydon, Icarus. Sappho had seen about five oak marshmallows and a couple of mottled ones. Mottled trees are completely worn by the rains, sometimes it is not clear what kind of view. Galatea is there, very locally in one place and practically do not fly apart.
Myrmidon finally appeared in this place, but very little, however, and broom is almost gone. I used to meet them en masse. The yolks of alfakariensis are very worn and a lot of fresh hyale.

According to the Catalog - new, but I think I've already been here from the Bryansk region-if I wasn't imagining it.

It should be there: according to GME3, there are points in neighboring Belarus and Ukraine.

Thank you, it is quite possible that this is Minoa murinata, but the quality of the subject and frames did not allow me to say this unequivocally, it is easy to confuse it with another similar trifle. Over the past two years, murinat has been found a lot, and almost everywhere.

The first photo shows a beetle - in my opinion, Heterocerus sp. (fenestrtaus most likely), is it possible to separate it, and were there still such in the collections?

Yes, Heterocerus fenestratus (Thunberg, 1784)

Installation in the forest (in the winter garden) is far away, when I go there again, I will take a picture, and so I can show the prototype
picture: 3234955d.jpg
this is a pheromone on the bark beetle, we remove the sticker and cut a 12V light bulb in the middle(I put such an old incandescent bulb)

I put this type of night light trap on beetles. The case is made from a 9L drinking water bottle, now sold in many places. It's very tough. The bottle is applied with the lid down. Segments are cut out of the middle part of the body, the roof remains (the former bottom, a hole is drilled in its center and a metal dowel with a suspension ring is screwed in), the conical bottom (the former neck with a lid, the hole expands in the lid and a receiving cup with a lock is installed, I use a 100ml polypropylene jar or 50ml falcon) and 4 connecting the rest of the case is approx. wide. 4 cm, in which narrow slits are made for transparent thin plastic sheets (from boxes, etc.). The sheets are connected in the middle by counter slits in half the height. It turns out quite a strong design. As a light source, I use the luminous part (without a rod) from a solar-powered garden lantern (not the Barakholsky one itself, here you need to choose the right one). If you do not install it completely in the shade, it works well and is completely autonomous. Alternatively, you can glue (or solder) another mirror lid to the bottom cover of the 9l bottle, make a hole, and attach a large container (2-5l bottle) with torn papier-mache and cut paper, then you get a zhivolovka.
