I have a question-the truth is not in the subject, I apologize, and about ktyrei there is any branch-and?

General information on diptera http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtopic=138133&st=2900
And there was a separate one for the giant ktyr, but I didn't find it right away.

The first half of August was sunny and hot, lepidoptera flew actively, and very young specimens regularly appeared, and some species did not come across at other times of the year. I collected a selection of photos, including some of the specimens that flew in July and are already ending their lives: http://butterflies-32.net/august-2015/.

Brief report on the trip to Astrakhan. In the night from 19 to 20.08. departure from Obninsk, none of the interviewed forumchan earlier, did not go.My son agreed to participate, just a tourist...The first stop was in the Mikhailovsky district, on the Medveditsa River.Everything is burnt out,the floodplain is also empty.Immediately came across a cunning grasshopper, on rare small flowers occasionally something flew by, sadly. We moved to dubki and immediately felt the difference-ktyri, skolii, even bronzovka got caught.Dry deer and spare parts from crushers, bronzes, and deer were strewn everywhere under the oaks. There were scolias of 3 types, ktyri, wasps like ammophilus, saw xylocop, but all on blue balls of flowers, just like that no one moved.IMG_6359.JPGIMG_6360.JPGIMG_6365.JPG

Then, at 20.08., we move to Zolotukha, spend the night there, put up a screen, but it's already late-at 23-30, there's no one but butterflies.I ran through the fruit fields with a lantern. It was under the pears that there was life-darklings, I watched the picture - the fall of a pear is a lot,and 2 blaps are fighting and dragging one rotten pear in different directions....Where is their logic, damn it....?In the morning we are going, I ran again, and not for nothing-I got tafoxenus gigas-I just went on business.I ran another 50 hectares-apparently the last one was out of season.Wasps of 4 species flew, took all of them-then we'll figureIMG_6411.JPGit out[attachmentid ()=235676][attachmentid()=235677][attachmentid()=235678

The next stop was in the district of the village of Mikhaylovka, where the cherished and secret log found 5 years ago lies. There's always something living under it.And this time it was not ripe, 2 types of good beetles pleased with their number.I just sifted sand around the log,and did not touch the whole piece of wood,so as not to disturb this natural super trap.IMG_6421.JPGIMG_6423.JPGIMG_6419.JPGIMG_6420.JPG

We moved to Kharabali, on the Volga, where our friends were camping. We spent 3 days there.I walked along the floodplain, eriks, put the screen in different points and biotopes-forest, steppe, forest pastures of cattle-everything is fine-but the moon was growing, and the years of twilight animals did not coincide with the comfortable temperature, when the moon was setting-the years were already over.In the steppe, once it was a good year-a lot of small things-good 5 small pieces of the Khrushchev type flew in.In the field and floodplain, a lot of things flew and jumped. There were almost no beetles.Specially caught predatory wasps and German wasps.Along the way, we got caught-a wedding of abscesses, a couple of scarites,a gold coin, a bit of black heifers.Inspections of floodplains and cliffs at night, with a lantern, were unsuccessful-off-season, damn...IMG_6425.JPG[attachmentid()=235691][attachmentid()=235692][attachmentid()=235693]

According to the plan, we went to the side-Dosang, Seroglazovo, Hosheutovo to fish on salt marshes and dunes.I've never been there myself. No one really gave out the points,so all the informatics was from the forum and conversations with the local population, traffic policemen, border guards and merchants...No one really knew anything, and to explain the purpose of our, for example, visiting dry salt marshes, it turned out only from the traffic cop,but he was not there and finally knows nothing....The first salt marsh was in Hosheutovo, where they spent the night.Everything is dry-dry, dunes are all thickets and sandy fauna only along the roads-on the cliff edge of the road.It is very inconvenient to drive off the road in a simple car.Sometimes it is impossible to leave finally, everywhere there are cliffs a meter high, this deserted road is annoying.Let no-moon ahrenennaya...Collected in the evening chernotelok-at night only sat blaps-3 types.Wasps flew along the roads, though a little..IMG_6552.JPG[attachmentid()=235718][attachmentid()=235718][attachmentid()=235719]

Then we moved to Dosang, and then to the protected area of the mines. There they left the road and drove into the unknown. We look-a salt marsh, dry, large, decided to run-see...And there, along the shore, are lilac flowers-about 300 meters long - and flying insects of all families are boiling on them...Ahrenet...!!There were surprisingly a lot of daytime butterflies, even Admiral and swallowtail were seen, a lot of small ones like pigeons and satyrs...And wasps, flies, bees and prch-finally the darkness and almost all unfamiliar. Here we went business-the stains began to fill up very quickly...IMG_6575.JPGIMG_6577.JPGIMG_6579.JPG

They also spent the night there,Littoralis racehorses arrived, for some reason there were a lot of rowing beetles, and they also carried lanterns in the morning and evening.Despite the end of the season, there were still some things that came across at night. Then we examined another salt marsh - also dead. The reason seems to have been determined-the salt marsh has not yet completely dried up-there was moisture under the salt crust.Everywhere lay the remains of insects that ran earlier, for example, in June-scarites, blackbirds, beetles, many have already departed.About the heat-very hot-in the shade up to 47 C, they saved themselves by watering, and after 16: 00 the heat subsided and even insects began to fly and run..27.08. we decided to leave. We got in and left.Even on the road, we didn't stop at interesting places.Apparently already catching beetles has absorbed all the endorphins in the body. You can't check all the salt marshes at once.Yes, and the material was collected a lot, there were already insects caught in the mass...IMG_6583.JPGIMG_6601.JPGIMG_6638.JPG

The pronotum is more likely to be Onconotus servillei Fischer von Waldheim, 1846. However, it is not clear if these are really different species.

And what is the abundant Cymindis above on the 3rd mattress? С.picta? Is it really so massive there this season, or were all the cow cakes turned over from Dosang to the state border wink.gif?

30.08.2015 17:31, Maksim M.

A lot is korsira fusula, imho, tzimindis lineata at the bottom, under it, one row.Fun-all in one place, and more than they did not see, just lucky. And about tortillas incorrectly stated.in those places, tortillas are eaten very quickly, and the remains are blown away by the wind, and as a shelter I have never seen them, for example, in the desert and on dunes.

I have a question-and what kind of melkohrushschiki-5 PCs on the penultimate mattress, on the right-bottom?

The bottom is indeed C. lineata, but the top is also Cymindis, not Corsyra. The color is similar, but Corsyra looks stocky, rounded, crudely sculptured, matte, much wider at the base. Smaller size. I have both from there. By the way, everyone is caught under old cowcakes, but in the spring. There are different places with different amounts of tortillas per unit area wink.gif. I haven't really understood my own tsimindis yet, but it looks and is similar in size to C. picta.
"Crushers" are not crushers, but Ochodaeidae. Probably Codocera, but you can't see very well.

And how so many caught tsimindis, if not a secret?

31.08.2015 6:50, Maksim M.

There is a cherished secret old log in the landing, and there is always someone there. This time there were picta and lineata with calatuses in the mass.I didn't take all of them, but left half of them untouched. And restored what was destroyed.

August insects of the Bryansk region.
Mantises are active, fly well, and fillies are also active. The crunch in the photos is already dry, with a broken mustache, what kind of appearance, I did not figure out. In some places, there are many elytra of such beetles. Webs with spiders, as always closer to autumn, are also quite a lot.
According to butterflies, August, especially at the end, shows a bleak picture even compared to last, also very dry and hot summer. There are practically no Aglais io, very few Gonepteryx rhamni, although a year ago all the clusters of flowers were teeming with these species, there were a lot of them in the spring after wintering, and in the summer too. There are no Nymphalis xanthomelas at all, which were found in huge numbers throughout the warm season of the past three years, and even in the spring of this year. Very few scoops, except for the ever-present Autographa gamma. It seems strange to see such a sharp decline in the number of common species in general. Almost everything I saw in August was posted on http://butterflies-32.net/august-2015. Anyone who looks at this site and finds errors in identifying species in the photos is kindly asked to report this in order to make corrections and not deceive uninformed butterfly lovers.
