Now, but it seems like a long time ago Agrotis bigramma (Esper 1790)
or has something changed?

Yeah, I already found it=)

For October 24, Moscow, a very decent year. Not to compare, of course, with what is now caught in Ukraine, but... We are waiting for the Ukrainian reports.

Last night, very warm for Moscow, plumigers continued to fly en masse, and there were also females.

On Monday, Nikitsky and I went to Alpatievo - one of the butterflies is Exapate congelatella.

Today we went with Nikitsky and Omar to Trofimovo - about a dozen fresh Operophtera fagata and Epirrita autumnata.

But it's still nice to go relax =)

Very interesting! Can I tell you more? What do the caterpillars feed on? what biotopes does it prefer? can I meet them in Moscow itself? where and when is the best time to search?

I met him a couple of times in Moscow. And for the first time in December)

Broad polyphage (I scared out of the thicket of blackthorn), eurybiont, Ilya Ustyantsev found in Moscow, search now =)

October 17, Moscow, a short visit to Losiny Ostrov (south of the corner of 5th Ray Prosek and Rostokinsky proezd). Entomofauna is almost at zero. But luxury honey mushrooms (pests, apparently, are already wintering), although aged, are taken exactly 3 kg (only in caps), almost all - at one point with a diameter of 15 meters.

Thanks, but we didn't eat that, we just liked the look. By the way, the color was slightly different in nature, with a slight olive color, but it is not very visible in my photo either. In general, when you are hungry with insects, you can take pictures of everything...
Only the location wasn't exactly the one indicated in this book. Mushrooms grew in the depths of the deciduous forest-linden, maple, birch, oak. Those that grow in open places, I have met many times, but these seemed to be a little different.

Hello! Yes, I'm just making fun of it. It is quite possible that not this species, although it is very similar, it is very slender. Well, I think the mushroom day was a success!
By the way, this fall I found this mushroom. I can't say for sure. Too fat. I found a very similar photo on the Internet-taken in Canada. (And mine is near St. Petersburg)

cleobis, this is a starfish, and A. Y. Elez most likely photographed some mycene smile.gifof starfish very few species, you can probably determine if there are clear differences, but it is better to determine fungi by the shape of spores.

And in Moscow, plumigers still come to light. Yesterday I took a female-very fresh. At the weekend in the dacha - only banal wintering scoops, there was no micra-a strong wind.

Good evening! Yesterday, in the vicinity of VDNKh, I enjoyed the spectacle of tropical butterflies. That's great! And along the way, dead eaters were collected in the arboretum, which went for the winter. The oaks are good there and the yews are very pleasant.

Good day to all and best wishes.
I publish my small report on Coleoptera fishing in the Mozhaisk district of the Moscow region.
The type of biotope is Mixed forest with a predominance of spruce. In the vicinity of a flowing pond and a light clearing.
Mostly harvesting was carried out in soil traps, less often on flowers and by mowing.

A small clarification-addition: if the barbel was meant, then this is Cortodera femorata. But if a narrow wing, then, indeed, Oedemera femorata, but this is no longer a barbel, but a different family-Oedemeridae.

Dear Dmitrich,
thank you so much for your comments!
I'll fix it soon. I think that after this, you will need to delete posts with discussions of errors in the nomenclature and making a list, so as not to clog up the topic. IMHO, of course smile.gif

Good morning! Now I don't have much time to write / catch (I'm loaded with work), but I want to inform you: Prionus coriarius has already been released in the Moscow region (I usually find it from the beginning of August, but here it's mid-July-apparently the year is really freaky). 13.07.2010 I ran around the city on my own business and did not believe my eyes: the sidewalk is crossing in broad daylight-such a female. Has anyone caught it this year?

I apologize for not responding in a timely manner...but just recently found this interesting forum!I watch Kozhevnikov every year for 10 years in a row.Yes, in 10godu earlier than usual flew away.I found some bait for them.I don't catch them-I just watch them. There are more or less plentiful years. But hundreds for the evening is stable! It's funny to look at the mother-in-law,who is afraid of them and runs away to the house in the country to watch TV.But the sight is pleasant when they fly a bunch. Some die by falling into barrels of water-natural selection. In the morning and all day, many people sleep near the bait. So, if someone hasn't caught them in 5 years,it doesn't mean that they don't exist. The population is very powerful and stable. No one cleans the surrounding forests! From the bottom in the river, even grayling was divorced. It is not far from Rogachev-in the north of the Moscow region.Sincerely, Sergey.

Today, in the late afternoon, I was blown up to take a walk in the forest, literally for an hour, and at the same time open my season. Moscow region, Odintsovo district, Dubkovsky forest. Knee-deep snow, a breeze, frost. I peeled the bark off a dead oak tree, found almost nothing, except for two maggots ?earwigs? and mikra's cocoon. Moreover, the larvae are quite elastic. At home, after half an hour, they began to run around the box and were not going to pose. I apologize for the quality, the camera is not professional. I'll try mowing tomorrow... lol.gif lol.gif

It's probably someone's campodeoid larva, a ground beetle of some sort.

No, not a ground beetle. This is Python depressus.

Based on your tip, I found a more similar species Pseudopyrochroa lateralia (Pyrochroidae)

http://www.zin.ru/animalia/coleoptera/rus/zaitlarv.htm

It's just embarrassing that he lives in Primorye, and this one is caught near Moscow

And here is an even more similar Schizotus pectinicornis (Pyrochroidae)

I looked at the larvae detector (Mamaev 1972), it turns out that this is it.

In deep pardon! redface.gif Of course, this is not Pytho depressus, if only because it lives and develops under the bark of conifers, and these larvae are found under the bark of oak (I just inattentively read Seneka's post first). Of course, these are larvae of Pyrochroidae. It is also possible that Schizotus pectinicornis.

Last night in Moscow, the first insects of the year came to light-mosquitoes-woodlice, this afternoon I saw lemonade. I think that the first wintering scoops will arrive at night.

Last night, Moscow, Ukhtomskaya - 1 munda and 1 transversa. While very sluggish, by the weekend they promise a cold snap, a bummer is possible, instead of the planned abundance of lanestris in the country. In the Vologda region, according to Nikosander, it has already become very cold, probably this disgrace will reach us by the weekend

Sergey, does lanestris fly right after these species? If they come across this year-find a couple for me pliz)

Yesterday's-the day before yesterday's Oil Run:

http://kotbegemot.livejournal.com/543782.html

Considering the weather, it's strange that anything flew at all.

List of things that were reliably seen and caught:

Depressariidae
Agonopterix ciliella/heracliana

Geometridae
Phigalia pilosaria
Apocheima hispidaria

Noctuidae
Eupsilia transversa
Conistra vaccinii
