Basil, I'm sorry, did not see your post, indeed, the discus, it is desirable to withdraw from the photo.
Thank you, Peter, I agree with you and Basil, on the place of writing, indicate in geography, but the language should be one. This is not a label for insects, where to save space is shrinking. but I'm always at the entire label write in the same language: Sobre Zhakov A; A. Opred.Zhakov or leg. Zhakov A .; det. Zhakov A.This label, on the site, which come not only entomologists, should be very ...
"ex ovo", "ex larva" and "ex pupa" - Vasily Try these three terms are translated by Google. and see what happens: as the Latin and Anglo. text. :) The question is not which language is written, and why give the abbreviated label inscriptions in a foreign language when you can completely write in Russian, it was clear to everyone?. :))
Vasily, then why you use "ex. pupa" instead of Russian word which would be clearer to Russian-speaking users. Let English stays in the English version of the website :)
Vasily hurried, something srastetsya, can not seem to reach the Celypha lacunana, butterfly itself and there is no other brilliant struychitosti, palps short. While I do not understand it :(
Basil, on species that have and do not close or anything similar, cautious, and genital types are defined and tolerated. :)))
Roger, Peter, about the Old, it is necessary for all, but did not understand why the years in September, suggesting that wintering butterfly? then dozens of options. :)
Basil, what kind of information should be added and what kind of source is it? If a butterfly wintering stage, it is not correct and unfounded. In the literature, butterflies years from April to October, so it is itself caught in these months. but it does not say that the butterfly hibernates. :)
Vasily, why this moth was IDed as Miltochrista miniata and confidently? I'd agree if it's from Moscow region, there are 4 species in Far East and this one looks more of Miltochrista rosacea. I wouldn't suppose even tentatively identified without size info. And not ragged just pale as Miltochrista rosacea.
Please don't, the spread specimen says it clear, Plusia festucae. No two versions here as the wing's flat and clearly seen and the thing's not worn-out. :)
Corrected data. Not identified / Imago → Lycaena tityrus / Confidently identified / Female / Alex Lender.
Species yet not published. When it's done, then we'll catalogue and describe here. Concidering as it's usually arranged, could take half a year.
Corrected data. Not identified → Incurvaria oehlmanniella / Confidently identified / Alexandr Zhakov.
This is different family and species in Far East, this Incurvaria gender presented with oehlmanniella only. :)
Vasily, seems mistake, don't you move so far, bad angle as for the main feature, have to check secondary ones. Reckon would get clear with a spread one.
I may be wrong, didn't check now but this species has gender dimorphism also in colour, males are yellow whilst females are pink, this is not a variation but a typical specimen. Yury seems to add intentionally pics with specific features different from ones in alive specimens for a more precise ID. I'm for keeping it here so far despite the specimen condition. Yet aesthetics part suffers a ...
