Luzhki, August 2, 08.

Luzhki is MO? Then Adscita stats.

2 Sergey_D
Pyrgus doesn't look like Cinara at all. Maybe armoricanus. I think that you can only determine by cooking.
Scoop IMHO psi/tridens

2 vitalbata
Scoop IMHO on the genitals and appearance is more similar not to lucifuga and balsamitae.

Yes, Luzhki village, Serpukhovskaya district, Moscow region.

Why not globulariae?

22.09.2008 19:57, vitalbata

okoem, thank you for your feedback. I also think that this cuculia is not C. lucifuga. The stuktura of the genitals is not the same. You are right, it is most similar to C. balsamitae.

Yes, this is it, E. absinthiata.

08. Help with the definition. Taken on the territory of the Moscow region (Ramenskiy district, Khripan), June

The first is Eupithecia millefoliata,
while the fourth, Scopula ternata, does not agree. This is immutata.

absinthiata or maybe assimilata??

absinthiata differs well from assimilata in the shape of the forewing.
Based on the photo of the collector's edition. you can always tell because of a
good angle.
E. absinthiata can be confused with E. expallidata

And what exactly is meant by the shape of the wing?
And another question : is goossensiata a synonym for absinthiata or a separate species?

22.09.2008 20:58, Olearius

In absinthiata, the n. cr. is elongated along the anterior margin. Do you know the group of" long - wings " - innotata, ochridata, nanata ? Similar forms.
Assimilata with a wider (relative to length) wing. Itself is usually smaller.
As for goossensiata, the chief specialist on Eupithecia - Mironov considers
this taxon to be a synonym for absinthiata. Type goossensiata is like a smaller
copy of absinthiata without any differences in the structure of the genitals and color.
I.e., like a dwarf specimen of absinthiata.

Olearius, thank you very much!

22.09.2008 21:52, okoem

Yes, Luzhki village, Serpukhovskaya district, Moscow region.

Why not globulariae?

In female Jordanita, the antennae are thin, often longer, and slightly thinner towards the end. In Adscita, they are thicker, shorter, and may thicken towards the end (thinner at the root). In the photo, in principle, it is clearly visible that the antennae are plump and blunt, but just in case, I compared your picture with the females of Jordanita globulariae from my collections - they have very thin whiskers. Thus, Jordanita globulariae disappears, leaving Adscita statices.

Here are a couple of Jupitecia that no one has identified, but which do not look like any pusillata, etc. What if someone finds out?

In my opinion, it can primarily be E. veratraria or trisignaria, and possibly E. satyrata or intracata.

haven't you looked at campanulae?

haven't you looked at campanulae?

campanulae has characteristic pointed tips of the hindwings (this feature is indicated by Jaroslav Fajcik, 1998), while in the photo the wings are rounded on the contrary. So IMHO, campanulae falls away.

C. balsamitae is a steppe species, listed in the red Data Book in Lithuania and lives mainly near the sea serpent. But C. campanulae is not present in Lithuania at all, as it is more of a mountain species.

Compared with this drawing, it turned out like this:
(the first one doesn't count, it's already been determined)
2-absinthiata
3 - assimilata
Correct?

...
The goossensiata type is like a smaller
copy of absinthiata without any differences in the structure of the genitals and coloration.
I.e., like a dwarf specimen of absinthiata.

Can instance 2 be considered a goossensiata form?
