picture: 13.JPGpicture: 25.jpgI bought the book "Butterflies of the Southern Urals" here and doubted it. I ask anyone who knows to confirm or deny whether the displayed butterflies are Snow-white fingerwing(Pterophorus pentadactyla) and double-line spadefly (Camptogramma bilineata)

I didn't find the first one among the European species-apparently, some purely Caucasian species that you just need to know. I don't know. Roughly -- Tortricidae: Olethreutinae: Grapholitini.
The others seem to have been correctly identified.

2. Rather Scotopteryx chenopodiata. From pages 146-147 of the mentioned bookletsmile.gif
Where did you buy it?

10.09.2008 21:40, VSB

(PG18):This ruled yellow-brown moth confused me. If we compare the photo you mentioned(from the book "Butterflies of the Southern Urals") with the photo of the two-line moth (p. 136 Butterflies of the Middle Urals), they differ in the brightness of the stripes. But really? What I shot, the color is still closer to the two-line moth. So I am in doubt, I will remove this picture for now. I'll take a better picture if I get another one ,and it'll probably be easier to determine. I bought the book in Chelyabinsk.
(PG18,kotbegemot): thank you for your help

2-this is not bilineata, but definitely chenopodiata, if there are no other similar Scotopteryx in the Urals

Metriotes lutarea (Coleophoridae). Generally chehlonoski undetectable in the photo - but the party on the flowers of zvezdchatki indicates this species.
