No, ephialite has much smaller spots. And you can't tell Atalia from Aurelia, just by her genitals. (well, the one I caught in the Crimea was the size of a pigeon...)

Gr-no, who-thread can tell you what kind of animal it is? Taken in Moscow/Kolomenskoye.

Cool animal! Acronicta aceris-sagittarius maple. I once caught almost no grated imago, and a week later-a fairly large caterpillar.

Good afternoon!
Please tell me what kind of butterfly will be derived from these caterpillars
http://photodom.com/photo/927016
I've never seen one like this, and I didn't think to put it up at home then) And there were very, very many of them, and these beauties devoured a whole bush of garden lily of the valley))
And also, what kind of butterfly is this?

Thank you in advance))

The caterpillars are in my opinion sawfly larvae, that is, wasp-like creatures will be bred from them. A butterfly scoop Autographa gamma.

What kind of animal? Judging by the antennae and body shape - a moth, but where are the wings? Did you drop out yourself? (judging by the two-day real estate, it's dead). The eggs are encased in a cocoon that hung there about a month before the appearance of this individual (apparently, she laid the eggs, but whose cocoon I do not know).

Geographically, I am located in Krasnoyarsk.

this is a female butterfly, with rudimentary wings. it's OK to worry Orgya

25.08.2008 20:21, Efenstor

Thank you, Omar!

25.08.2008 20:47, PG18

The cocoon, apparently, was this very female in the frame, Qryia antiqua.
Her entire life, geographicallysmile.gif, is within this frame...

25.08.2008 20:57, PG18

1 - Melitaeamellicta sp. (athalia, aurelia, britomartis, caucasogenita) The latter is well distinguished by the underside.

Ilya, who is different from? In my opinion, the female M. diamina is in the frame.

25.08.2008 21:21, Ilia Ustiantcev

Yes, probably. Underside would be nice: the diamine is easy to distinguish from all the others: there are black holes at the outer edge. And the Caucasian draughtsman from Atalia and the like also differs in the underside, I don't remember what exactly.

First, the rest of the participants will not understand what you have been assigned here and how much it is correct.
Secondly, a Specialist will come in tomorrow and say that it was determined incorrectly. And it will override.... well, that is, it won't override any more - the photo is deleted. weep.gif
I, for one, am not sure that your Maculinea sp. - this is exactly Maculinea arion. shuffle.gif
