the only thing that can be confused with it is Melitaea didyma
characteristic signs for Melitaea cinxia are black dots on the red stripe of the hind wing. www.leps.it - you will find everything here.
t00m.

Thanks!
This site is very familiar to me! I downloaded it and about a dozen other "high" level sites to my computer a long time ago and "scroll through" them when determining.
In addition, they are released in Ukraine. in my opinion, very good Atlases - determinants of bulavousykh and sovok. Thank you Okoem helped to purchase!
But all this together does not always allow you to accurately determine the type. Sometimes knowledge of distinctive features is required, but here you can't do without the help of specialists: you need to know where to look and what to pay attention to!

Guys!
Did I identify these pigeons correctly?
Plebejus argus argus L
Female (top, underside)

And here with a "smudged" pattern:

And this is Polyommatus icarus Rottem ?

I don't know how to deal with these pigeons! Who would teach a" master class "on key "points" of similar types?

And this is a moth? I "flipped through" several sites and didn't find any similar ones. I tried to scroll through the pages of this thread - a nightmare! I didn't have enough patience for more than 10 pages! And I spent a lot of time! As long as you wait for the "big" images to load, you don't even want to search for them anymore! It is a pity that this branch has a" one-time " skin character. I uploaded my own and looked at it, but there is no way to use "someone else's" content. Is it really impossible to negotiate and upload thumbnails? How much would the efficiency of the branch increase!
Maybe this butterfly, in general, is a firefly and I was wasting my time on moths?

Precisely! - Ognevka! I found it on an Austrian website:Evergestis frumentalis

All shot in the Poltava region in May

argus, icarus totally correct.
I can't teach you a master class, but I can tell you the main points.
Plebejus idas and pkdugodpomop from argus - the first two are larger, the black border is thin, the veins are black. The first 2 from each other on the genitals - well, the presence of white spots in front of black dots on the back edge of the underside of the hind wings smile.gif

icarus from thersites: on the underside at the root of the forewings-icarus has 1-2 black spots, terzite has nothing.
from amanda-amanda has a lighter and brighter top, the differences are immediately visible, there are fewer yellow spots on the underside at the edge of the hind wings, and the bottom itself is slightly darker, more brownish than gray. the yellow spots themselves are present only on the hind wings.
