Tell me, whose are these fluffy larvae? We were in a hurry today to go somewhere across the sidewalk, probably crawling to pupate?
Chelyabinsk region, Snezhinsk, 18.08.2015. The length is 30mm.

I found such a thing on the road about a week ago, brought it home, photographed it, put it in a jar with earth and grass, and it formed a cocoon. Who is it? How to continue with it, where to put it, bury it (in the ground on the street)?
It was in the Moscow region.

I looked it up, and the Internet says it's a caterpillar of a hawk moth (Smerinthus ocellatus), right?

You asked "what is it?", not "I need a kind of caterpillar".
From such a small photo, you can hardly determine the type.

well, you can roughly say a few types that it looks like I'll look on the Internet, and find out exactly what it is, it's just that it's small somewhere 2 cm and the camera does not focus it.

Danial, you can't even name a family from your photos, let alone a species. You can search here http://www.lepiforum.de/lepiwiki.pl?Fotoue...familien_Raupen
It's not the camera that focuses, but the photographer. Focus the camera, take a photo from the top and side, then crop it and post it here. http://lepidoptera.crimea.ua/files_frame/frame_det.htm
