Very similar to Pericallia matronula
And the same "portholes" on the body glow! smile.gif

Hyphantria cunea same like?

Similar, I can add that its length is 5-6 cm.

I, in turn, also have a question: in 1986, in the second half of the summer in Odessa, there was a mass breeding of some hairy, rather fast-running caterpillars.
Since I was 6 years old and without a camera, I have nothing to add to this.
But there were really a lot of them, and they were clearly not picky in their food, eating a variety of trees.

If someone older was there and then-can answer this question that has been tormenting me for a long time?
Perhaps it was even some kind of documented flash, there were so many of them.

I think about H. cunea myself - but who knows it there?

Thank smile.gifyou, I hesitated between atalanta and cardui, it seemed to me for the beginning of September in the Moscow region it was already too late to be able to track these two beauties...

I won't tell you for the whole of Odessa smile.gif
And in the south of Ukraine, in the late 80s and early 90s, especially in cities, Hyphantria cunea was a disaster, the foliage was completely eaten from the trees, the plinths of buildings were in a dense white web. The fact that they run fast is that they spread out before pupation.
Now a rather rare bear.

Thank you for the version. And I found her on the forest road, in the grass - but under a hazel bush, during a halt. Grass-any mixture, including nettles, something umbrella was. More details are somehow not worth paying attention to.

This one should eat willow or birch. From here you can find the form.

2-probably Lobophora halterata. You need a sharp photo of the last segment.
And it is advisable to show at least two angles - from above and from the side.

Help me determine! They found it on vegetables, but maybe someone brought it on their clothes or something else, otherwise it doesn't look like a vegetable eater... (Moscow Region, 16.09)

Although this is a larva, but in the topic "Bedbugs", I think it will be more appropriate to dirty it, where experts will find it faster. And here, rather, for the larvae of Holometabola.
