I'm sorry, I didn't consider it. It's not a pupa, but the larva of some fly (I think). redface.gif
Well, can my caterpillar be identified?

Fly larva.

In my opinion, not just flies, but some kind of sirphids (Syrphidae).

31.10.2009 13:34, okoem

Well, can my caterpillar be identified?

I would love to know what it is. But scoops/moths are generally difficult to identify, many species are very, very similar. And I also don't know the fauna of the Moscow region.
If you have time, try to check out the thumbnails on lepiforum, maybe something similar will be found...

Medvedka? It seems that they do not have larvae... Well, or they are more similar to adults.

Similar to Clostera curtula.

I looked at the pictures and it seems to me that in the picture (judging by the yellow picture) Clostera pigra (Hufnagel, 1766). For the hint-thank you very much.

okoem, why do you think this caterpillar doesn't look like auricoma? In my opinion, a typical auricoma. Just still young. I've seen a lot of them. At the last stage, they usually lose orange spots on the body, leaving only orange warts with tufts of hair.
It doesn't exactly look like strigosa.

Humenyuk Vitaly Ivanovich
compare your caterpillar URL 1384 and your same caterpillar in http://macroid.ru/showphoto.php?photo=10425
Any doubts?
