From UPS?"it's better to keep it warm."

In relative smile.gifterms, degradation occurs significantly faster at temperatures above 25 gy wink.gif

.................... This lamp flies very well (even in our Piece of Iron).

Very good - how is it?
If you compare with the DRL 250, then the heat lamp flies betteralsoworse?

Well, Mish. The room temperature is 18 degrees (approximately), and in general they "do not live long" in any case.

Sash, I didn't compare it with the DRL, but where there are no sockets, I can't think of a better one.

Let's go from the other side.
Can it be compared to two compact fluorescent lamps powered by a 30W white + 30W UV accumulator?
I understand that such an experiment was also not carried smile.gifout, but still, purely speculative, will the kerosene/gasoline lapma be more effective?

Yes, I know. At my Yupiesnik, the Chinese died in a year and a half.

Sasha, I don't want to carry batteries with me. And the return of "kerosene" be healthy.

Yes, I'm already familiar with these batteries. The question is different-in comparison of efficiency.

Whatever the return from the lamp, it is best to catch on several light sources located in different places. In addition to the main lamp, I place up to five pieces of UV tubes powered by a battery and constantly ply between them, checking for butterflies that have arrived. In addition to the lamps, I hang sugaring and the result in this case is maximum. It is undesirable to sit in one place at one lamp.

The only inconvenience is to carry batteries on yourself, but if you drive in by car, then this is generally a drum smile.gif.

So the whole point of talking about kerosene was just not to drive in the car and not to carry batteries. lol.gif

Today I saw a Pamir ALA gas-fired lamp of Polish production in our fishing shop. http://www.camping-pamir.com.pl/en/node/3 The lamp is simple, without bells and whistles, the nozzle is removed and cleaned manually.
The cost of the lamp is $28
The cost of spare grids is $ 1
each. It works from ordinary liquefied gas (propane-butane). The cylinder is not included in the package. You can use an adapter and connect it to ordinary large household cylinders. Gas consumption is about 0.045 kg / h. Brightness - 300 Lm.
So there are two possible use cases:
- we connect a liter (or 4 liter) cylinder, go to shine on nature.
- if there is a cottage, but without electricity-we buy a large (27 or 50 liters) gas cylinder and connect the lamp to it.

This is all very well, but let's not forget that a gas cylinder is a dangerous thing and will not be allowed on a plane with it. It is better to use a lamp on liquid fuel (alcohol, gasoline, kerosene). All these items can be purchased on-site without any problems.

I agree. But for me personally, the problems of air transportation are not relevant. Something else confuses me - the trouble with refueling and, most importantly, the impossibility of refueling at home (country) conditions.

10.09.2009 19:29, Sungaya

In addition, gas comes out much more expensive, and the power of gas lamps is lower.

These are the mattresses.

Fishing conditions: UV emitter tube 8 Wt from Philips + voltage converter (factory, car) + battery 7 Ah. The total fishing time is approximately 2 hours. Screen - tourist foam. Location-7 km from the village of Suusamyr (Suusamyr valley, Kyrgyzstan) to the south-east, mountain slope of the north-western exposure, height 2150 m, in a hollow - so only the neighboring slopes were fished. I caught only what I could grab with tweezers or shake into a jar (which was only one) - in general, this was a test output. Next summer, I plan to improve the equip somewhat, add a normal folding screen and normal stains.
Thank you very much! There are some very interesting views here. I'll write to you in PM.

Stas!!! lol.gif Are you already squandering my mattresses??? lol.gif
Are you going to close the season next weekend???

10.09.2009 20:30, swerig

You'll carry batteries xD

I found a young one. Let's buy a car. Get your gadgets ready for auto batteries. And you don't want to close the season for nothing. It will be as always a lot and fun beer.gif

. It is necessary to finally disassemble the butterflies, order the necessary equipment and plan the chili...

Bring the butterflies. I'll sort them all out and attach shuffle.gifthem to Chile. I will try to tell the people in Chile what is there, when and where.

Is it possible to buy hot-water lamps (petrol, kerosene or gas),which were discussed on the previous two pages of this topic, in Ivanovo?Isn't this a shortage? In what type of stores (household goods, industrial goods, markets or anywhere else) should you look for these lamps?

In stores for hunters, fishermen, and tourists.

I still bought a NorthStar (Coleman) 2000-B750 hot water lamp.
On the night of 11-12, I tried to catch it in the vicinity of platf. Khripan, MO. Edge of mixed forest, 12-14 C, wind 1-2, light cloud cover, Moon 1-2.
The moth Epione repandaria arrived - 1 pc., some small caddis fly-1 pc., some micra - 1 pc. I already thought that this is the end of the season and you can remove the nets-stains until spring...
However, on the night of 12-13 caught in the Sergiev Posad district on the DRL 250. The weather conditions are basically the same, only a couple of degrees colder.
Ennomos erosaria, Colotois pennaria, Cyclophora albipunctata, Poecilocampa populi, Scoliopteryx libatrix, Catocala fraxini, Diloba caeruleocephala, Mythimna pallens, Xestia c-nigrum, Autographa gamma, Allophyes oxyacanthae, Rivula sericealis, Agrochola circellaris, Agrochola lota, Cirrhia icteritia, Conistra vaccinii, Mniotype satura, Blepharita amica, many caddis flies, some microbes, grave-diggers...
Epirrita autumnata, Nonagria typhae, Celaena leucostigma

Well, I do not know-he caught on the Chinese version (now banned for import), flew on it perfectly. Maybe their spectrum is different or depends on the choice of location?

Vasya, hi! In the same place, I caught a couple of times on UV 30W + white 30W-it flew very well smile.gif

13.09.2009 16:34, vasiliy-feoktistov

Sasha, hello! Apparently, these lamps are also different (Chinese and American), or maybe just "time will tell". I also happened when flying to luminescent-just have time, and when half the night prosidish and almost nothing (under the same Zagorsk).

Yes, I agree. You will need to try UV and kerosene under the same conditions.

I am also very much interested in this question:can the throttle used to power the DRL-250 lamp of domestic production be used to power the DRL-250 lamp of the Phillips brand,or do I need to buy another throttle?

The manufacturer is not important, it is important that the power falls off.

Does the Phillips lamp differ from ours in any way?

Only price and quality, I think.

I'll dilute the topic about lamps a little. Here is a night fishing rig we "assembled" with mikee using a generator, DRL 250 and GAZ-66 smile.gif. Altai, Yaloman, this summer.

Phillips ' light output is 20 percent higher than the domestic one, and General Electric's is 10 percent higher (also to the domestic one).
As for the throttle, this summer with sdi found out that all last season he caught with DRL-250, but with a throttle not that 400, not about 700W. So his lamps burned out and the foliage on the neighboring plants shrank :- ) The throttle power must match the lamp power, within +-20%. Otherwise, it will either not ignite, burn erratically, or burn out quickly.

Oh, they won't get their hands on the report in any way :-( But it turned out to be extremely convenient and deployed quickly and in any place.

Last season, I turned on a 250-ku with a 700-ki throttle (if I'm not mistaken). The lamp only lasted three nights... frown.gif
