Entomologists, what is the name of this material on aquarium nets?
I would like to put one on a larger net to catch in water and on land.

This crap is sold in our stores of fabrics, tulle and gas, they are very different, and the thickness of the threads, and the size of the mesh. We must look and search.

It can not be sewn just like that-only through gaskets made of thick fabric.
If the mesh is relatively large, then twigs-thorns cling constantly. And when catching large clingy animals such as beetles, it should be borne in mind that they tear the net with their claws very effectively - a stock of nets and repair kits are necessary.

Purely for water, you can also take a mosquito net - it is hard, rough and heavy, but in water this is only a plus. It is convenient to catch, but it is not so easy to damage aquatic insects. For fly fishing and mowing, it is of little use, for butterflies-it is not suitable at all, the butterflies will be broken and torn.

And there are actually nakomarniki-I keep looking at them and thinking how to adapt them to the caseconfused.gif shuffle.gif-almost ready-made bag from not the worst mesh, only sewn not very kuzyavo...

PS: I have the largest aquarium nets - 400x300mm (they are rectangular). Sopsno, for water somehow nothing else is needed wink.gif- I screwed the handle to the bambucine-and the finished wink.gifbag is too small, of course,
and the net is too large, but for a large man - why not? wink.gif

We don't have the right tulle. There is nothing suitable on the Internet. Sewed from a lining, like a mesh, it is impossible to use..
Where inete isat and under what name?
The mosquito net is too tight. Too much. In the water in Tae I want to catch fish, suddenly bring udassa with me. You need a good net. Very nice and large with fine mesh. And on ordinary insects to descend. I'm not very pretentious. I don't need it for a collection, but for a closer look.

01.01.2013 16:52, headshotboy

The feeling is that you really have there, except for snowshoes, Christmas trees and light bulbs for sterilizers, there is no more horseradish-no tulle, no generators, no days, no vacations lol.gif

It doesn't happen that way. There are rag shops - people sew curtains from tulle - so there is tulle. Tulle, gauze, organza... Chiffon, gauze... There must be something.

I don't know what this fabric is called "exactly" on the Internet, and I wasn't interested, so I go to a "normal" store, look at fabrics, and choose them. If I didn't choose it, I go to the next one, etc..

Fish - what kind? Bull dogs? smile.gif They are better caught by hand, on a piece of fishing line with a small hook and a worm-type nozzle, immediately extracted smile.gifthe Beard from the hook-you must cut it down!
Sit in the sea on a beach, on the sand, near a pile of rocks or a piece of reef, take a tackle-and go ahead smile.gifwith the most exciting activity wink.gif
The damage to fish during careful fishing is much less than with a net-it has been checked many times.

(But, in general, a dog like Exena costs us about 500 rubles. - why the hell should I take it from Tai, I don't understand)

By the way - try to see pond nets. They are probably shitty in themselves, heavy and flimsy, but you never know. You might be interested confused.gifin

Well, if I had the opportunity to buy a second zebrasoma for no more than $ 200 or a piece of half-dead coral, then I probably wouldn't have any idiotic desires about exporting fish from another country! We can't find anything exactly when you need it. Local shops are all surveyed. In the regional center-of course not. It's really easier for me to buy online than to go there. But closer to the train will have to explore, it seems there is no choice.
Our tulle is too full of holes, it used to be" old-fashioned " tulle was excellent, we used to wander crucian carp in our time. But now there are no such tulle...
I think that a fish larger than 2 cm should not be taken, on the real sea, I have not been with animals, I have no idea how to catch there. I even have a vague idea of how many fish there are and whether I can even get to them and corals.

01.01.2013 17:18, headshotboy

Another option for you - I don't know how feasible it is - is to go to your crowd (do you have a market?!) and look there. If you find something similar - you don't even have to take it, try to slow down the seller, suddenly there is or will bring. m. b., some used rags will be sold - tulle curtains for repairs to change or something else wink.gif

You can definitely get there - there is always a lot of fish heresy spinning around the beaches, and there are often rocks or reefs in different conditions near the beaches. In any case, the fish will be there. Zebrasomes are not a fact smile.gif, but there are enough bottom-burrowing stone trifles-bull dogs, pomacentrovaya various rubbish, horse needles, etc..

How to catch-I say, take a thin fishing line, small weights-hooks. In any case, even with these primitive gear, fish will be much more accessible to you than with a net.
Just a piece of net - you can also fish in the water with your hands, without a stick. You can, in principle, take a fishing line - from a thin fishing line, with a mesh of 10 millimeters-these are rare, but they happen.
And you will carry a net in puddles and streams, catch wink.gifwhite fish and swimmers

01.01.2013 17:21, alex017

Well, thank you! So maybe that's what I'll bring. The main thing is not to get caught as a poacher.
Tackle is not a problem, although I haven't been fishing for a couple of years (one of them got bored for some reason), but the gear is in full force!

03.01.2013 8:04, KONI

My son and I recently bought a fishing net with a triple telescopic handle made of stainless steel.Fully extended handle - 2.6 meters, and add another diameter of the net. And all this happiness cost 400 rubles.

03.01.2013 8:32, alex017

It's wonderful. We don't have this on the market. Chinese stainless steel probably the same as all Chinese...
I once bought a sheet of stainless steel. It's rusting...

03.01.2013 9:12, KONI

To alex017; Yes, even if it works out for a couple of seasons and then it's good.In general, this handle is made more reliable than those 1.5-meter aluminum ones with plastic retainers are long.

03.01.2013 16:31, alex017

I have enough plastic fishing for 1-2 times a year, but I should probably change it to a metal nut.
Well, with the material net, the question is still open.
By the way, will tulle also work as a screen?

03.01.2013 18:55, El Cazador

If once or twice a season, then the gauze will go.
Put a mosquito net on the screen.

26.07.2013 22:47, vafdog

anyone who has experience using a telescopic handle made of duralumin and fiberglass, please tell us which material is stronger?

26.07.2013 23:33, Peter Khramov

Duralumin, essno.

26.07.2013 23:45, vafdog

does the fiberglass crack??

26.07.2013 23:50, Bad Den

Duralumin, essno.

Here, as they say, is a plus.
Fiberglass has another weakness-the attachment of the hoop to the handle is unreliable.
Well, fiberglass as a baton is not easy to use - in which case the duralumin will be more effective.

27.07.2013 1:52, Peter Khramov

Fiberglass has another weakness-the attachment of the hoop to the handle is unreliable.

At entosfinkovyh plastic right now, the mount is the same as that of duralumin steel...

27.07.2013 1:53, Peter Khramov

does the fiberglass crack??

If you knock on wood well, then yes, it cracks. Although there first seems to be a joint (if the handle is multi-section) flies.
On the other hand, why knock on wood well, when you can not knock well or even not at all...

The best handle for a net: a stick cut off at the place of fishing. And you don't need to carry anything wink.gifIf fishing, of course, is not in the steppe or desert smile.gif

27.07.2013 10:45, Peter Khramov

At one time, he used a flag pole. I feel more good than a cut stick!

So the shaft is something to carry, but you need to hold it in your hands smile.gif. And the bushes in the forest are all around: I arrived, cut them off (I always have a knife with me in the forest), caught them and threw out the stick. It's a matter of five minutes wink.gif. And home one hoop with a cone-shaped tube where to insert a stick.

27.07.2013 11:12, Peter Khramov

That's right, but the shaft is bright red. And where will you find such a stick in the forest?;--))

Colleagues, I'm looking for a new mowing net. Now sold "heart-shaped". Who used it, what are the advantages/disadvantages over the traditional round hoop?

13.11.2013 17:51, Peter Khramov

The lower part of the net will go (approximately) parallel to the ground, as a result, you will collect more from the "lower" tier.

OK, I'll try to experiment.

Gentlemen, what do you think is the reasonable limit for single-section duralumin handles? From 20 to 60 cm? Or more/less in any of the parties? I repeat: single-section, i.e. non-folding.

18.04.2015 11:33, Василий Л.

Friends, who can tell the uninformed what parameters are best for a water net? What is the best fabric and color for making it? Maybe someone tried to catch them in small (up to 2 meters) ponds? What are the results? Thank you all so much for your answers!

30.04.2015 13:41, Peter Khramov

We started making nets of our own production. Now there are single-section duralumin ones (from 20 to 70 cm) plus telescopic universal ones — they can be used both as a convenient walking stick and as a handle for a net. Because of their versatility, their length is quite large. In May, there will be non-universal telescopic ones (they are not suitable for walking), and therefore you can take an average length.
Now we have distributed samples for the test, if anyone else wants to test at a discount price-let us know, we can do it for you in the next batch.
In addition, there are heavy universal bags left for the test (suitable for both air and water). In general, it is better to use separate air and water pumps, but this option is much cheaper. In contrast to the long-existing universal hacks, the emphasis here is towards water. Who can test - let us know.
Well, who needs not tests, but immediately tested things — most of the range will be available in May. Cheaper than the entosphinx and without some of its freaking glitches like the rim spinning around its own axis, although for a start and in a smaller assortment.

Now the question is:
According to the wishes of the people, we start making cheap gauze bags as an additional option. Et it is clear that they have drawbacks, this is not about that (for there are also pluses, for an amateur). Question to those who use such bags or used, tell me on the photo below, the cell size is normal?

isn't it "According to the wishes of the people..."? there are those who use gauze? confused.gif especially the one that is currently on sale. if she can catch anything, it's a flying butterfly. from the hook on a blade of grass, it will stretch all over, and any bee will simply push the cells apart and run away. or is it super gauze?

30.04.2015 18:16, vasiliy-feoktistov

I use gauze for life. And homemade nets (under my hand).
And "gauze-it is also gauze in Africa" when it would not be sold.
From gauze, after all, not for mowing a net, but for catching "in years" for the most part, and here the lightness of the bag and its sailability are of great importance (these properties are just gauze and provides).

Yes. Everyone's goals/objects are different, so. At the same time, the price of such a bag may be three times less than the usual one (depending on the size), but you can still add a little reliability by strengthening the seams (we have reinforced ones).
And that's why I ask about the cells-whether it's a good option or not. Gauze comes with a different cell, we made it to order, now we want to launch a series for everyone, so I check the opinion of the local people-the size is normal or not normal.

30.04.2015 21:18, Peter Khramov

And "gauze-it is also gauze in Africa" when it would not be sold.
The thing is, it's different. Hence the question about cells.

Normal cells: for smaller insects, an exhausteris needed, not a net. The main thing is that there are no holes in the bag smile.gif

What is currently the most reliable option for a folding net? With a bolt screwed in the center, in fact, this is not an option - you will get too hot to fasten it. Are there any decent options for the head, or additional fasteners so that the hoop does not unscrew and does not break off together with the head?
