Why can't Olshvang's son-in-law visit Russia? In honor of the Nupponen brothers, I will soon describe a new species. Prvilno Vlad writes-you should be happy! I believe that science is an international territory. I hope that when I describe the views from Zaire or Papua, there are no such exclamations - who let the Russians here?.. The Gelechiids are one of the most beautiful groups - much cooler than the Parnassians. Go for it.

Indeed, we should be happy that they help us, show us how to work properly. And to cry for another reason: we do not have enough abnormal people in Russia who would collect and identify microchesoptera as actively and professionally as the Finns. I have already given my scitridids and gelechiids from Ustyurt, and I will give them back to Kari Nupponen and Jari Yunilainen, with a request to share paratypes with ZIN if possible. It will be more efficient. By the way, Kari is not even a professional entomologist, his main job is far from biology, and on vacation for expeditions (always at his own expense) for more than 2-3 weeks you can not escape.

This taxonomic review of the Cuban Miridae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) treats 105 species in 57 genera. Twelve new species are described, two new synonyms are recognized, and four previously recorded species are removed from the list. All genera and species are diagnosed, and a thorough literature review and information on host plants and distribution are given. Male genitalia are illustrated and a color image is provided for nearly all species. Identification keys to subfamilies, tribes, genera, and species are included, and the biogeography of the Cuban and West Indian mirid fauna is discussed. This work will form a solid foundation for future research on the plant beetles of Cuba, providing a summary of the information known about each species and the means to accurately identify them.

All 235 butterflies were studied meticulously in the field, with patience and perseverance, all over Greece. All species were photographed free and alive in their natural habitats. The book comprises comments on the external features of the butterflies, the environment, the ecology and a detailed description of all species of the butterflies of Greece. The book also includes 1765 photographs in color, 234 distribution maps with diagrams of the altitude for all the 234 species and additionally many figures, maps, plates and diagrams. An estimation of the status for all species and the factors of threat are also included. This book aims to inspire the reader with the necessity of the protection of the butterflies of Greece as far as their habitat is concerned, that is, the environment of Greece which is shared with all species and naturally with man.

This checklist of the Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths) of Alberta lists 2367 species reported to occur in the province, as well as 138 species whose occurrence in Alberta is probable. Each species entry includes adult flight time and distribution status in the Cordilleran, Boreal, and Grasslands ecozones, as well as references to taxonomic works and to the literature and public collection sources of the records. Detailed notes on taxonomy, nomenclature, distribution, habitat, and biology are given for 1524 of the listed species. An additional section provides details on 171 species erroneously reported from Alberta in previous works. The authors hope it will be a useful resource for anyone carrying out species-level work on Lepidoptera in western Canada, or taxonomic work on Lepidoptera in general. An introductory section provides a general overview of the order Lepidoptera and the natural regions of Alberta, and the history and current state of knowledge of Alberta Lepidoptera. Each of the 63 families (and selected subfamilies) occurring in Alberta is briefly reviewed, with information on distinguishing features, general appearance, and general biology. The list is accompanied by an appendix of proposed nomenclature changes, consisting of revised status for 25 taxa raised from synonymy to species level, and new synonymy for 20 species-level and one genus-level taxa here considered to be subjective synonyms, with resultant revised synonymy for one taxon and formalization of seven new combinations.

All changes from the previous list in 1983 are documented in 716 taxonomic notes and 331 literature references. These changes include documentation for 367 new species that have been described since the 1983 list, 230 species added through new records or taxonomic changes, and 259 species that are removed or synonymized. Send it to all geometridologists-Mironov, Belyaev, Hausmann, Shtuning... That would be great!!! Otherwise, it will remain the property of our forum. In general, collect all the data and send it to Atalanta or some "simple" magazine. There you can make an article for 50-60 pages. In the Omsk biol. but few people will read it
