We discuss who uses what on hikes.

PS Who can, tell me where in Moscow you can buy good trekking shoes for hiking, so that with a pad from moisture it was and kept for many years. Like Solomon or something.. Very necessary ))

Yes ,it happens that shoes are expensive, but at the first rise, the sole breaks.
A campfire with a gas stove under the bottom should be taken on a hike (light), gas is sold separately in small cylinders.Or you can take a small standard balloon, but it needs an adapter to the burner that is under the pan razpolagaetsya.

You can buy everything in Moscow/it is more profitable in extreme sports, at the river station.

I prefer our shoes and equipment, Basque. They make / sew according to international"standards" /tracing papers, but it costs less. My backpack, boots, clothes, and sleeping bag were checked by the Altai, the Caucasus, and a bunch of small trips around the Moscow region.
I've been wearing trekking boots for the 3rd year, until I managed to kill them.

We have small forests , a step to the left, a step to the right and a village, so you don't have to strain with food as long as there is money, but from the equipment only like this:
Berets, camouflage, bandana, knife, machete, naski, first aid kit, a couple of lanterns, 2 liters of water, tweezers, stains, a couple of liters of braga, fifty glasses, sleeping bag, hammock and smoke. Here's something like this

Salomon after buying it by Adidas noticeably deteriorated, although shoes from old stocks are still sold (I have been wearing these for 7 years). Normal track bots are something like Tuckland, and the top price bar is Boreal. It makes sense to take it with a membrane, despite the fact that such shoes, of course, do not breathe better than usual, but they get wet less and are generally made more efficiently.

For hot climates, good slates of this sporty type or lightweight sneakers with nets are very good. In general, if no extreme tourism is planned, then wildly expensive equipment is not needed.

When I was a kid, I also thought that you need to catch a super bug with a super sac. And to dress for this in superwear. Now I don't think so much anymore.

I laugh in advance in anticipation of the wild Jura's story about his outfit. In which he conquers the wild Ussuri taiga.

25.05.2010 19:34, Yakovlev

The coolest shoes in the field are galoshes. And any sneakers for 50-100 euros are equal in function to crazy bots for 300 euros. Konnechno if you are not a rabid mountaineer-tourist.

25.05.2010 20:26, Black Coleopter

I go on trips: camouflage, baseball cap (the same color) kirzovye or rubber boots, footcloths, backpack 100-120 liters., a bag from a gas mask for small things (tweezers, knife, notepad, pencil). And most importantly, the enthusiasm and entomological excitement in the eyes... For the place of the raincoat I propose to use OZK.

25.05.2010 21:15, rhopalocera.com

Tent. From 400 euros, three seasons.
Sleeping bag, comfort -9.
Freetime air mattress. it costs only 800 rubles, weighs only 800 grams. It takes up a minimum of space
for two different camouflages-sand, forest. Both are non-washable - washed, dried, put on.
Wide-brimmed Panama hats. No baseball caps - very uncomfortable.
Gregory Whitney 95 backpack (95 liters)
The second backpack SwissGear 27 liters-when transporting fits inside the first
Belt bags 2 pieces. They contain tweezers, stains, chemicals, pins, bags, etc
. Boxes with mattresses. 2 pieces of 6 liters each.
Shoes the first - Columbia tracks, the second-officer's yal berets, the third-Adidas/Reebok sneakers with GoreTex membrane (two pairs in a backpack, one on the feet)
Socks (5 pairs), shawls/bandanas, underpants (3 - 4)
Soap and snout accessories
Camera, 4 lenses, tripod, light filters, additional batteries
Garmin Oregon 450 navigator
Brandy flask
Shmat sala
Tushnyak, sguha, pasta, salt, pepper to taste
Spyder down jacket
Adidas windbreaker with Goretex technology
Bowl, mug, spoon, knife
Twine, thread, needle, rubber repair kit
Battery 12 volt, 12 - 220 converter, philips 8 watt UV lamp

For the place of the raincoat, I propose to use the UGC.

Wow, did you wear UGC in the army? Believe me: after 5 minutes in these clothes-a lot of sensationslol.gif lol.gif lol.gif, I do not advise anyone to use OZK: http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/ОЗК

I've worn it before. But no rain is terrible, even acid rain.

26.05.2010 8:46, Garricos

I've worn it before. But no rain is terrible, even acid rain.

I haven't heard about acid rain in a long time.

In terms of equipment, I discovered an amazing thing - Chinese slates for 150 rubles and ordinary rubber boots. In boots, it is convenient to rummage through the forest when the grass is wet after a rainstorm. And slates are convenient when you put up a tent, go around the camp in the vicinity.
Otherwise, I use everything the same-a tent, a sleeping bag, a windbreaker, etc.

31.05.2010 19:53, Black Coleopter

I haven't heard about acid rain in a long time.

Every year, the first rain is acidic, when all the rubbish accumulated over the winter

26.02.2012 20:18, niyaz

Do you need to take a rain awning with you on a hiking trip or do you need to be overweight? A good tent will replace the awning? Which tent do you think is good and which one is bad?

And what material is needed for trousers so that at +35C +40C it is not hot?

26.02.2012 20:51, captolabrus

Need a nanotechnological ice cloth, based on, well, I didn't think up on the basis of what lol.gif

26.02.2012 21:21, Hierophis

Hahaha, in Kostroma and Primorye it's probably good in the summer, you have an absolute maximum of +37C there, and here it's almost the daily temperature from June to September )))) My trousers were made of something like silk, but they were completely torn, and it's almost impossible to patch them up. And those that are their usual fabrics, although they are thin, but hot for hiking!

Interseno, how much does a real silk fabric cost now, and does it even happen? smile.gif
Or what modern options are there, with nanotechnology )))

The cheapest in Moscow is about 600 rubles/m. and silk is different, for example, satin is also silk. Not practical for hiking. There are artificial fabrics that are not bad and breathable, they are cheaper and will completely replace silk.

Well, I don't really understand fabrics, I asked here about silk, so they told me this, they say, it's only for kings, the cost is worth its weight in gold, and in general, you can't buy anywhere smile.gif

And what kind of fabrics, even common names, can you tell us for further searches?

I would not have refused nanotechnology myself, because of the prostheses in the summer I bathe like in "hell")))

I can't say. I prefer natural fabrics-linen, cotton, but I have things made of viscose, in which I feel very comfortable in the heat. I can tell from linen and cotton: in the heat, only thin and soft linen and thin cotton (such as cambric). By strength, flax. For wear and tear of twill fabrics-satin, denim, etc. By the strength of linen (poplin for example). In terms of quality – American cotton, Russian and Belarusian flax. Personally, I am quite satisfied with jeans even in the heat.

- It depends on what kind of hike, whether there are natural shelters, whether rain is expected. I take a raincoat sometimes, or a piece of cellophane, but I don't have an awning.
- It will replace it. Why not?
- Good - lightweight, double-layer, waterproof with mosquito nets. If it's the other way around, it's bad.

Thin, light, windswept.

I recommend shorts and slates to anyone walking on forest and mountain roads. No fatigue when you are naked and have "nothing" on your feet. Great tan. From mosquitoes, you can spray yourself with a spray. I wear slates on the steppe and even in the forest. For 10 years - a couple of punctures with branches, without major consequences. But it feels so good on your feet... In Primorye, I cross numerous streams without taking my shoes off. Many entomologists tell me that these clothes are "for redheads". But I know one dark-haired entomologist from Voronezh (Volodya K, famous among butterfly lovers), who does not recognize any clothes in the field except swimming trunks. On his feet - the same slates. He walks barefoot on "bare" roads. Maybe extreme, but I used to go totally dressed. Until the same Volodya revealed to me the charms of "field nudism". I think I'll replace my shorts with swim trunks in the new season... And, of course, a backpack on your shoulders. smile.gif

One drawback-forest passers-by are afraid. They will see it from afar, and somewhere sideways from the road. Especially girls. frown.gif

shoes-running or trekking sneakers made of mesh asics or mizuno-cost 2000-3500. they can withstand 1-2 seasons, not hot and dry instantly, because all the water immediately pours out.
ps
Volodya K and I were climbing the Bzybsky ridge last May. Just started to undress-then went in some swimming trunkstongue.gif, the main thing in this form is not to get into the eyes of the locals wink.gif

In the mountains, the correct fixation of the ankle is important, so you shouldn't go to serious mountains without good mountain boots, IMHO... And even in frivolous mountains I don't go in slates/sandals anymore, after I stepped on a pillow-shaped astragalus in Armenia in pursuit of someone, I don't remember who smile.gif

I don't know, but when in the shade over 40 and under the feet of camel thorns (slates are pierced through like warm butter with a spoke), figs are so similar. The most cute thing is light, wide, spacious clothes that cover the body to the maximum. I liked it in terry cloth. Although, of course, in such conditions at noon it is better to be careful.
Don't redheads get burned? All my friends red-haired sun is contraindicated (in large quantities, of course)... Or in the sense of "not for everyone"? smile.gif

Slates are not shoes for serious hiking. I prefer galoshes to slates when camping. Protect from dew and prickly grass.

And who takes how many mattresses for caught insects?
How many of them in the total area you need to take to be enough (for a week, day and night fishing, in the middle zone of Russia)? At the same time, so that you don't have to carry anything extra with you)

27.02.2012 18:06, Aleksandr Safronov

Of course, it probably meant "clothes not for redheads".
The skin of people with red hair is more susceptible to the sun than others.
Previously, it was thought that this is because their body does not produce enough melanin. As it turned out as a result of research, red-haired people contain even more melanin than people of other color types. At the same time, pigment cells – melanocytes in the body of red-haired people produce in parallel and another substance, under the influence of sunlight causing the development of skin inflammation.

Maybe this is purely Crimean specifics, but in our slates all the legs will immediately be punctured, I tried to wear it, but it turned out to be very uncomfortable, and on scree and stone piles you can't walk freely in them at all. I always wear berets or boots - you can go anywhere, step on anything without ironing - my feet always remain intact, and stones and dry spikelets practically do not get inside. I don't wear shorts either, just trousers. Nettles, prickly shrubs, etc. In addition, moisture loss increases in shorts, which for me, for example, is very sensitive.

Thank you, we'll need to look it up. I never paid attention to all these clothes.. smile.gif
I do not know how you can walk in jeans in the heat, if you expect a transition of about 10 km in one direction, well, running around, digesting stones, and the terrain is hilly and ravine-like! and the temperature is approx. +33 +35C, and the sun is on top! although, some comrades go in jeans, and dark colors, and even wear a dark foodball, but this...

About shale-I didn't even know what it was, I looked in Google-but you're all joking here))) In flip-flops, yes on the steppe, yes on the blue head, yes on the spines of such cereals as on the Kinburn spit )))))))) A karakurtika pick up-a nice thing))))

All the advice that you can do without trousers is complete nonsense! Trousers protect from thorns, hyalom, argiope of all sorts. We have a lot of prickly plants, and to break through the thickets of bluebottle without trousers is sadomasahism )))
I don't get burned under any sun for any duration of being under it, but that's not the point, the steppe is not a beach smile.gif

Yes, of course in the shale in the Crimea is not like. Shoes - Primorskaya. Half of the rural population wears them. Local name: beach-sneaker. From English beach? smile.gif I don't know about moisture loss. In Primorye, in the heat, I get wet in my clothes, my head starts to hurt, and fatigue quickly comes... I shoot-like I was born again, ready to walk all day without getting tired at + 30! smile.gif
