In Darwin, there is some kind of insectlessness, all the doors-windows are open, the lights are on, the walls are white-and no one arrives! frown.gif During all this time, we managed to lure one May beetle (three, but they were all the same), one small praying mantis and one small moth. Previously, there were still more animals.

Mole.

Couldn't the mantis be photographed?

I took a picture, next week I'll try to process it and show it, now I'm getting stitched up with work, we have a premiere and another concert tomorrow. smile.gif

Thank you very much! smile.gif

It is also a small nocturnal moth. Carefully disguised as a shoebox.

I opened the folder with pictures of the praying mantis, came across a picture of the process - two o'clock in the morning, the praying mantis diligently posing. smile.gif

A small camera on a tripod sticks out, it was me who tried to make a video of the praying mantis "swaying" and preening, but, alas, I didn't have enough skill and it didn't work out. We need to train.

this one and the one below the post are sciomizids, like

Neriidae.

Oh, I found the topic when it's too late to pull it back out to redefine it a little, well, I won't, because I'm not up to the views.
Termite mounds are creepy, just like sametari.

Thank you so much, Ellie, for introducing us to Australia))

If the pronotum is approximately as wide as the head, then it is Orthoderinae, Orthodera sp.?

Thank you for the wonderful photos! I would assume that this is a female Orthodera rubrocoxata or ministralis, but I'm not sure about the view (the angle is needed exactly from above).

I didn't think to take a picture from this angle, alas.
Write it as Orthodera sp.?

I think so. If Dracus can't determine more precisely.

That's all. smile.gif From mid-October to mid-November, there were a lot of the same beetles, about once or twice a night, but someone buzzed angrily under the ceiling or under the sofa.
