I noticed today that someone was taking pictures of something on all fours among the astragalus trees-but I didn't bother them, I went further and climbed up )))

Breakage day of Salix acutifolia

Today we took a walk in the vicinity of the village. Lesnoy (Saratov region, Engels). Chistets blooms, and there are a lot of chanterelles (Pygopleurus vulpes) on it. There were also some pretty yellow tulips blooming. We caught water and near-water beetles, as well as some subsurface inhabitants.

On April 28-29, I opened the season - I went to the vicinity of Pereslavl. The trip was not entirely successful: it was quite cold, and the lake is still under ice. In some places there is snow in the forest, I set a line of traps in a warm grove, but as it turned out a little later, ground beetles were still wintering there - under the bark of fallen trunks in wintering cradles I found pterostichs, a bunch of Carabus granulatus and one female C. nemoralis (carabuses are already active in Pereslavl). One of the goals of the trip was to explore the fauna of the reed beds, but the ice and high water level did not give up hope of setting traps, so I had to climb to the reeds and "mow" along the stems. At least the ground beetle was saved from the flood there - I scored a series of Agonum (Europhilus) sp., Demetrias sp., Odacantha melanura, small cows, staphylinae of the genus Paederus and leafblocks were caught.
29-there was a sun, single bees were flying with might and main, xanthomelas was the most popular of the" scales", and I saw only one specimen of hives with a peacock's eye. But the most widespread of the arthropods were ticks-dermatocentors, I have never seen such a large number of them-for 20 meters of passage along the narrow-gauge railway, the Boat on the flag has 78 ticks...
And photo:

Today I walked around the outskirts of Yaroslavl. The main goal was to check the effectiveness of anti-tick treatments, along the way I planned to catch beetles.
Woodlands are in the water, so I went to look for (and found) Agabus bifarius (an interesting wingless rower, which we have found in one well-known point-a pine tree in holes filled with spring water). Also in a puddle caught some ilnik and this is the end of the vodniki... One of them was a background detail.
I also saw a swallowtail today - THE FIRST GENERATION HAS GONE!
Unfortunately, there is no photo, because in a hurry I forgot my camera at home...

I rarely photograph insects, they move indecently fast compared to the tops. shuffle.gif I went to the Kola Bay the other day to shoot birds (with a TV camera), out of habit I sat down next to my mother-and-stepmother (this is sacred).
Under the nose-hives sitting! I managed to take only one frame, but I scared it off by moving from the desired position. Only such a proof" highly artistic " turned out.
1371.jpg
We have nymphalids - the most common family (20 species, like), and urticaria is one of the few butterflies that overwinter in the imago stage.
Well, the bug was still sitting there:

On May 1-3, we were in the Voronezh Region (Belogorye, on the last day we stopped for a couple of hours in the Shipov Forest).
It is very cold and windy, and there are very few insects. 3 days walking in winter jackets. In full bloom caragana, apple, pear, cherry, nonea. Adonis blooms and tulips have completely faded.
BUGS. On the steppe ran: heaps of kravchikov; 1 type of T-shirts; dorkashi: karinatum-en masse, Crusader-rarely, holosericium-2 pcs.; various chernotelki of different colors (types 5-6); with zhuzhami we cruelly broke off-in a hundred traps 1 convexus and 1 zabrus spinipes weep.gif
butterflies. day practically no. rare whiteflies, just started to come out snapper-took 2 PCsjump.gif. but I was counting on at least a dozen frown.gifno pigeons frown.gifa few banal frightened nymphalids, which were immediately blown away by the wind. On the first night there was a very strong wind, which tore the screen several times, but still a few pieces of Oxicesta geographica and 2 pieces of unknown cuculia jump.gif+ a few small banal pyadenki flew in. Well, a lot of May and risotrogus, of course. After another "fly away", the screen was decided to collapse. The second night was surprisingly quiet, but there was no summer at all - for the whole night 5 May beetles (which we even gave names to out of boredom) and NOT a SINGLE butterfly!
In the morning, we hurriedly gathered, as there was a feeling of an imminent downpour, and went to the Shipov Forest (from Vorontsovka).
There the picture was even more depressing weep.gifall the entrances, which even in the middle of summer under water, were completely dry. In the forest itself and in the surrounding steppe, it is incredibly dry, even the moss in the bases of the trunks is dry. Individual carinatums and kravchiks weep.gifOn the way back stopped at the edge of the village to inspect firewood. The owner immediately came up to us and told us that not a single drop of rain had fallen since the snowfall, which he was extremely annoyed about. While I was communicating with the native, my friend caught me 2 female Meloe variegatus (fish of my dreams) jump.gifand found me 1 female M. proscarabaeus.
that's it....
the general feeling is incomprehensible-to go for so many km (and friends came from Moscow) for a few examples of butterflies and beetles is somewhat not logical, but what kind of views and what beautiful places they are. we were not lucky with the weather, but we were satisfied beer.gif

07.05.2013г. Vladimir region, Petushinsky district, district, village Old Pools.
Today I took advantage of the good weather and left for several train stops outside the Moscow region. In principle, nothing particularly interesting except for the discovery of the male Meloe (Meloe) violaceus Marsham, 1802 thanks to this discovery, we can say: the trip paid jump.gifoff . Well, I was unlucky on T-shirts up to this point and that's it. And I was also struck by Callophrys rubi (Linnaeus, 1758), which flew out in a completely wild amount. He brushed them off like mosquitoes smile.gif
At least I got some air:
