Has anyone seen Lemonia dumi yet this year? Have they flown yet?
And can they fly in such weather as it is now (cloudy, wet) or do they need only dry and sunny weather for departure?

Hello everyone.Report for September 13-14 of this Yearamoscow region, Orekhovo-Zuyevsky district, Poplar-Voinova Gora-peat bog in the Poplar area.

Lemonia dumi, according to my observations, flies during the day only in sunny weather. Now they can still fly, but most likely they have already moved away...

Organize motor transport - I'll bring you at least on Monday =) I also want to collect it myself)) Just no more collectors: if the three of us, the four of us, run after lemonia, we'll fucking catch her.

All further questions - in PM =)

Lemonia dumi flies for a week in the floodplain meadows of the Pozim River (okr.Izhevsk) in the mass of dozens - the source is reliable, I'll go catch it myself tomorrow.

to lepidopterolog: Just stock up on vodka and shish kebab. A beer wouldn't hurt either. lol.gif
Maybe then one of the lemonias is yours.

Now to the point: dumi flies reliably in Romashkovo and Razdorakh along the Chachenki River in well-warmed places. Only there are few undeveloped places left. There is also a Moose Island near Korolev, where it flies on meadows adjacent to the canal.

I will assume that it is also on the Nerskaya River (from the other bank it is more likely), but in the vicinity of the PTZ it simply has to be.

All sorts of things happened...
Once he gave us a hand-caught species of leaf wrapper, which we came for. The first modern find in Surrey. I caught it. In the Jim Porter collection now. Jim couldn't say anything, let alone ask me for the butterfly.

I can give what I catch - but to entomologists, not philatelists.

Sally in the footsteps of Andrey Yovovich and Anatoly Alexandrovich smile.gif
Moscow, TLCA Park, 24.09.2011.
The team consists of Sungaya, V. P. Volkov and I.
Plumigers were found in small numbers, mostly males who had just emerged from the pupa and were spreading their wings, while females were much rarer. One female was missing her left pair of wings.
In the mass of L. orthogrammaria, a single female and a bunch of males "pretending to be a female" smile.gif
Slightly less than E. autumnata, E. defoliaria is not enough. Caught an Acronicta psi caterpillar.
In short, it's not particularly dense, but it's not empty at all.

Well, there were two blacks among the redheads. I remember that once upon a time there were black squirrels jumping in Pitsunda. This is the first time I've seen them here.

And now the nights became longer
The Fogs in the field lay
down All these signs of sadness
In the reports we were able to come.
And all the beetles are frozen
Completely uncomplaining,
And if you want,
Even with your bare hands
From the flower they are already taken.
It
's a freak of nature that we can't outwit,
so long
as economic adversity doesn't get in the way of hot worlds.
And if everything goes well,
in winter we will see from the screen once
again How bright, spectacular and savory
our bug special forces are going through the jungle.

"in Moscow, despite the cold, plumigers fly."

Seryozha, the onset of cold weather-there is a factor that stimulates the mass release of adults of the genus Ptilophora.
The first copies may appear much earlier than the usual time, in weeks. But it is the first more or less noticeable cold snap and even frosts that determine the time of mass summer.
