It's not like it's higher than the roof, it eats the last boxwoods there. It is all over the coast, last year it penetrated Krasnodar, and this year it has already eaten almost everything. Apparently, next year will finish the last natural stands of boxwood in the region.

Nakhichevan 11-16. 07. 2014

Turkish-Azerbaijani border.
Turkish customs officials reacted favorably. The car wasn't gutted.
At the last turn, the employee knew Russian and asked what the fuck we were doing here?
Azerbaijani customs turned out to be more difficult.
At the entrance, they waited a long time for insurance registration. The customs officer did not understand either Russian or English. It's also a good thing that a person from our former USSR turned out to be nearby and helped with the translation. God grant him good health!
All things had to be unloaded and dragged through the scanner.
When we were applying for a visa, an employee took our passports and went somewhere with them. Then he came, asked us for a long time who we were and how we got here, and finally puzzled us that we had to register within three days, otherwise the fine was $400. frown.gif

After crossing the border, we found ourselves in a fairyland with luxurious roads, beautiful cities and wonderful nature. smile.gif
The speed limit was marked in large numbers on the roads. Despite the excellent roads, the speed limit is very low: 50-70-90. But no one is in a hurry. There are cameras everywhere. Melancholy..., barely restrained after Turkey.
Okay, I guess that's not interesting...
In short, without receiving official registration, we moved to Ordubad.

Then go to the famous village of Nyus Nyus for all butterfly lovers.
Vladimir Lukhtanov was there exactly 30! years ago, and the road that would leave the village in the gorge, no longer remembered. We got lost in a maze of narrow streets, but we were rescued by a man named Reza, who not only showed us the way, but also visited us in a big beautiful jeep and brought us treats... (Here I remember "Master and Margarita":"...he was particularly interested in my views on power.")
Well, about the sad later...
The number of diurnal butterfly species in the surrounding area was close to a record.
We counted 65 species!
This is the third result in the last 10 years of observations. Records belong to the gorge near Akhalkalaki (Georgia) and a place in the Eastern Caucasus along the Tugchay River Valley (Azerbaijan), where 70 species were recorded in two days of observations.
It would be very interesting to read about such statistics of colleagues. mol.gif

An extraordinary beauty-Marigold parisatis (Hipparchia parisatis). There were a lot of butterflies of this species. They fluttered at the base of the rocks, hiding in the shadows of the cliffs, but I couldn't see the butterfly feeding, and I wondered what they were eating here. When I went down to the stream, I found the answer. Dozens of butterflies were feasting on fallen cherries. smile.gif

Continuation of the report on the expedition to Nakhichevan.
14.07.2014

After spending the night in the hotel, we decided to go to another wonderful place-the village of Kyukyu.
The navigator did not send us along the paved road, but directly through the village of Badymly. After climbing the serpentine into the mountains, we found a wonderful place, made a day tour. We have prepared a place to spend the night. We hung up the screen and installed a generator. Fried potatoes. They poured brandy... And then they started calling me to find out where we were. I thought it was our friend from Nyusnyus who wanted something. Then there was a call and I was asked to go to the road. Then polite people arrived and we were sent back to the hotel. This was the end of our free spirit. We were told that due to the tense situation, we can only move around the territory accompanied by representatives of the Institute of Ecology.
It was a pity for the potatoes, which we did not try. weep.gif

Hello everybody!!! On this cold winter day (minus 20 outside the window), I wanted to write my first fishing report on this forum! It was early October. Together with our chemical colleagues, we went to the conference in the sanatorium "Avtotransportnik Rossii", which is a 20-minute drive from Tuapse on the seashore. For me, almost the most important task was to hunt butterflies - it is not so often possible to go anywhere from the Urals during the hunting season... Well, across the road from the sanatorium there was just the right place - a dirt road with dancing tracks on the sides, going at the foot of the mountain to the stream. There flew quite a lot of fresh egeria, male cabbage flies (which I have not seen in my eyes in the Urals for 6 years), admirals, thistles, and c-white anglerflies. Quite a flown pathos was also seen. On the hottest day, we were also lucky enough to catch a battered male and female oak marshmallow (on cooler days they were not visible at all).
And on October 3, I finally decided to climb the mountain. There, closer to the top (no higher than 500-600 meters above sea level, according to the sensations), shrew's kraeglazki (apparently from a new generation) and beech marigolds flew behind the wind in heaps - only 3 very pokotsany females were found. And already at the very top, pea whites and saffron yolks were hiding in the grass from strong gusts of wind. DSC05349.JPGDSC05350.JPGDSC05351.JPGDSC05352.JPG[attachm

A question for the knowledgeable. My wife and daughter are undergoing treatment in the district of Loo-Semashkho, until 15.03., put several series of soil traps, walked along forest paths, nothing was caught in three days.Question-why does nothing come across-off-season, or something???They have some experience in such types of fees.

02.03.2015 15:20, Dorcadion

It's still a little early to catch ground beetles at this time, you need to turn serious stones or pick rotten logs, there will start running more or less from the beginning of April, plus or minus, depending on spring...

They picked at the logs and turned over the rocks-only centipedes and woodlice, although the cherry and apricot trees were already in bloom. And that there are no wintering imagos in those places? On flowers fly xylocops and a lot of all sorts of pereponov, caught a black cockroach and staff, but until 15.03. mozh che will change...I advised to put traps on the hot slopes, and not in the shade of trees, imho there is a chance to catch something...

03.03.2015 11:23, Penzyak

And what kind of black cockroach is there, a photo?
In Komsomolskaya Tolstushka last Friday, I was surprised to read that" black "cockroaches were brought to us from America"? What kind of new PR move is this??

At the expense of the police, yes-with vigilance is clearly too much.
