It will be the same next time. Simply, it would take a long time to add... one at a time.

Good afternoon. Tell me the bug.Okr. kh. Top. Yegorlyk pr. bereg R. Yegorlyk 20 km. from Stavropol near horse manure L-20 mm 28.09.2016 detained while trying to escape.

it's Broscus, of course, but something tells me it's not cephalotes, but semistriatus.
It should be turned over and look at the chin. In cephalotes, near the middle of the front edge, two hefty bristles protrude, respectively. by the pores. But semistriatus doesn't.

A. nigroolivacea is widespread in our country. The genus is huge, the beetles are all very similar, determined by the genitals of males.

No, not a sawyere. It's a softling-Cantharidae, and I assume Cantharis ?obscura.

Good evening, everyone.
Here are three beetles. Identified as Ropalopus macropus. There are no problems with the lower one, it is clear that it is simply under-painted, there was not enough strength for the elytra. And the top two are questionable. They look somehow too natural in this coloring, as if it was intended that way. They were caught in 1991 in the cabin of a trolleybus on the window glass. They were sitting nearby. Macropus is a common beetle in Moldova, it is found in the city, flies on a light bulb, in gardens on drying apple trees under the bark. Yes, everywhere. And always black and usually 10-11 mm or smaller. It's the biggest black I've ever seen. These are 12.5 mm thick and somehow it is unlikely that two rare albinos found each other in a trolleybus. And I found them. Maybe it's not Ropalopus macropus?
By the way, I have never seen Clavipes in Moldova. Do we catch him at all?

All I can advise you is to get the determinants and atlases in your hands (or rather, on your hard disk) and go! And clavipes are caught in Moldova, at least 25 years ago they were caught.

Thank you. Clavipes is listed for Moldova in M. Danilevsky's Annotated List of barbels of Europe. Perhaps you should look for it further south, in the areas adjacent to the Dniester estuary. There are old fruit orchards there, they are already being gradually destroyed, I saw them myself. There are also Dniester floodplains, and a bit of forest. Interesting places.
But I was actually wondering if anyone had ever seen any mention of the stable, recognized light forms of Ropalopus macropus. I haven't seen it. The circumstances of the capture and the appearance of these two macropuses in the photo seem to be for this form. If not, then no. Remain as it is = undecorated macropuses.

4 Hister fimetarius? in field
5 of Stenomax aeneus? on the wall of the house
6 Melolontha melolontha? found in the garden
of 7 Anisoplia austriaca? in the field
All photos from the rural area of the Ternopil region (western Ukraine)

Ruslan, your ideas look quite sound, with the exception, perhaps, of the little baby (#4), which should be called Margarinotus bipustulatus.
