Trichalophus boeberi, formerly T. leucon, is well recognized by its relatively large size and the convex suture of the elytra on the posterior slope.

By the way, the 5th is also Trichalophus maeklini, only male. Here from the same places:

Is it a Cicindela hybrida or some other mount?
Altai, Chemalsky district 29.05.18

22.02.2019 11:54, akulich-sibiria

Hello!
Recently (21.1.2019), a beetle hatched in the room.
I suspect it's a shiny-chested spruce barbel.
I have never encountered this type before, so I am not completely sure that the definition is correct.
The cut of the trunk of an old spruce tree was delivered on December 3, 2018. Under the bark were barbel larvae (length 5,8, width 2,0 mm). The saw was delivered from the vicinity of Teguldet, Tomsk region.
Please identify the beetle (body length 10.1 mm).
Sincerely,
Viktorovich

I think the bug was identified correctly! Especially a Christmas tree, but I'm not sure whether it can be correlated with larvae or not. Unfortunately, in the most important place in the larva on the 9th segment of the abdomen from the dorsal side, there is some garbage, where there should be urogomphs in tetropium larvae, but based on the fact that I do not see the thoracic legs and each spiracle on the sides has such dark protrusions, I will assume that this is just the larva of the barbel genus Monochamus. The larva of the first instars and therefore just such formations on the sides I observed in them, in more adults they disappear.

22.02.2019 11:59, akulich-sibiria

In the dismantled garbage I found three beetles, two clearly Danosoma conspersa and fasciata, but the third is strange. Slightly smaller, the lateral edge of the pronotum throughout with a keel. In monophonic light hairs with an admixture of darker ones..
Could it be Lacon altaicum? I haven't really defined it yet, so I decided to post it here.

walk with a good lantern along the banks of "rivers and lakes" and you will see a completely different world. Just don't climb the rapids! backwaters, shallow coastal and / or temporary lakes + vegetation.
at the gas station at the exit from the city (towards the south) wink.gif we often linger there smile.gifthe main thing is to have time before the first wagtails wink.gif= before 3-4 o'clock in the morning, ideally-midnight-1-00
even in early spring with a fairly low temperature

In ponds and quarries.... In cradles on the banks of rivers, near lanterns...

And in the sand pits?We have a sand pit,and in its west there is a long reservoir that resembles a straight river. In summer, it dries up almost completely, leaving only a little water. The maximum depth is probably 10 cm during drying.
And large water lovers and swimmers can be found in ditches, artificial ponds, swimming pools, as well as along the banks of rivers on land?

I would still say chlorostigma, they don't look like alni somehow. Yes, and the teeth are blunt on the lower legs (can be compared with the photo of alni). In fact, for the Crimea, chlorostigma was cited by Richter in " Fauna...", and maybe even earlier.
